Re: Cureton Back Saturday

Will give him a hearty cheer on Saturday, one of my favourite RFC players of recent times.
If he looks dangerous shout "JACKS!" he will love it

Perhaps we can change the 12 days of Christmas to to Jamie Cureton for one game.

I'll get my coat....

Re: are you laughing at kitson?

Why would I want to laugh at one of the players who took us to the prem and was a superb player for us. He may have been a bit of a Prima Donna but he had a strong common sense streak and worked hard whilst he was here.

Anyone who rejoices in his situation now needs to grow up.

Kevin Doyle to stay?

Overheard on BBCRB this morning Tim Dellor saying that "It is reported that Kevin Doyle is going to be staying at Reading Football Club".

Anyone got the source of this news please, or can link to it?

Re: Booing Marcus

winchester_royal FFS nobody booed him. Just annoyed sighs when he kicked the ball out of play for the 100th time last night.

+1 There was NO booing in lower west/north corner.

Re: Rovers fan here

Good performance by your boy's last night, good crisp passing and made RFC work hard. Reminded me a bit of Crewe. Look forwards to the trip to Donny later in the year, and I predict you will stay up. but then what do I know :)

Matt de K But who's your friends source?

Who needs a source? Or facts? Its much easier to write off someone with a stack of rumours, why let facts get in the way.

Re: Worrying info about Lita

I had heard (from a friend) that the people who thought they had heard what they had heard, either from the first party or from the person of the third party, had in fact heard nothing more than rumour, conjecture or half truths; except that the people that had heard them as close as second hand, th...

Re: Neil Warnock's Sense Of Humour

I loved it when he had a decision go against him, and sky would catch him just as he came off the pitch, show him it again on tv, and ask his opinion.

Re: Min By Min Transfer Udates

Streets They were on a reported 25k each a week but the relegation meant to some players 30-50% drops in wages I think it was? Maybe the all seeing eye can tell us...Platypuss?

Platypus works in the wage dept a RFC ? 8)

Re: Min By Min Transfer Udates

Interesting how perspectives are changed by a hat trick and a sudden performance fueled by the energy of the academy boys. Whilst I doubt we will ever see what happened behind the scenes, I would dare to argue that this shows the club does have ambition within its means. SHunt and Doyle were reporte...

Re: Min By Min Transfer Udates

Ok, just heard it. But that doesn't make it so. Reading are the masters of bull remember. The grey haired guy read it from his mobile - text straight from the club. If we have kept Doyle and SHunt then we have pulled off a coup as a club, and both are the kind of characters who will still put in 10...

Re: Neil Warnock's Sense Of Humour

Warnock is a true gem. There are times when he annoys the hell out of me, but on the whole I like the guy. He has a dry sense of humour, cares passionately about his team, and the game as a whole, and doesn't take himself too seriously. We could do with a few more characters like him in the game. Wa...

Re: Min By Min Transfer Udates

SSN have just reported that they have received a text from Reading FC saying that they have closed all transfer activity now.

Nothing is certain until the clock strikes 12, but it is reassuring. Well until the January window ;)

Re: Back from the game

Well impressed by the overall mperformance tonight, and definitely cheered me up after Daggers and Charlton. I expect modest change against Palace, probably from the bench. Also good to see Kevin Watson stil playing, liked his style of play when he was with us. The Luton support was impressive got t...

Re: Pardew predicting tough test

To be honest I hated the way he left but am totally over it. Dont let the way he left overshadow the great job he did for us.

If you are not over it by now, then have a look at yourself. God forbid that we might actually wish him well...
