Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

From Despair To Where? I've given a shit about England twice in my life. Both times, Nicky Shorey was playing.

Me too! Though there was that time Neil Webb made his England debut :o :?

Why do betting companies even give odds on this sort of thing, yet more greed - this time by preying on those with problems.

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

For as much as I would like to see McKenna stay at Ipswich, I would also like to see Man Utd still their pursuit of 'names' and go for a young exciting manager that has links to the club, like McKenna Credit to them if they do appoint him, could do with some English/British managers getting top job...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Stranded Barnsley have appointed Cheltenham manager Darrell Clarke as their new boss. Think that should be a good move for all parties.

It sort of worked the last time they did it, getting to the PO final in 2023.

Micahel Duff is now manager of Huddersfield Town (but still lives in Cheltenham).

So the great businessman that is Dai is ‘surprised and disappointed’ that due diligence involves chipping the price as items are discovered/confirmed It’s due diligence 101, for goodness sake, because all the stuff you’ve been sweeping under the carpet comes out Let's hope that the buyers don't get...

Re: Pre-season 2024

PSF are dull. They are training games, used to practice formations, bring new signings up to speed and test out the odd trialist, most of whom won't even sign. Would prefer they played them all behind closed doors esp versus the likes of QPR as opening up the game at the SCL will probably end up co...

Souness is almost passable but it's all utter ******* cr@p as usual. Just have to go get the beers in at HT and not bother tuning in until actual kick off. What tends to be worse though is some of the idiots employed as co-commentators especially if the commentator is ****** awful anyway. Radio 5 wa...

Re: England - the future....

Post up your first elevens! There's a worry of shoehorning attackers in rather than having a balanced team (the old Lampard/Gerrard shizzle) It is very difficult to pick an eleven when there is only one left-back in the squad who, even by Southgate's admission in interview, comes with major fitness...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I’m comfortable that we have the core of a good squad, but I’m also aware it would only take injuries to two or three key players (Wing, Smith, Knibbs) to leave us struggling. Given the business we did last season, despite the turmoil, hopefully we can pick up a handful of players that could streng...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Looking increasingly likely that Kieron McKenna will jump ship from Ipswich having got them to the PL - Brighton seemingly the most likely destination. Would make absolute sense for his career but would make Ipswich's task in staying up much much harder. Ipswich are rumoured to be going in for Rob ...
