Re: Weekend Football

Hampden Park was completely rebuilt in the 1990s and isn't considered a new stadium, but the Millennium Stadium (which was basically a rebuilt National Stadium at Cardiff Arms Park) is considered a new stadium (incidentally, according to the Wikipedia article, the National Stadium was built on the ...

https://i.ibb.co/yymp2GM/GOx-UOr-EXg-AADKd-J.jpg :? Is this like what has been on a number of 3rd team kits? I don't mind it as an alternative logo, tbh. Yep, Everton do something similar on their 3rd kit. I don't mind it either. https://images.footballfanatics.com/everton/everton-hummel-third-infa...

Re: Ex Players

Far more likely that he's a replacement for Adrián, who's only played twice in the last 3 years. No way he's directly replacing Kelleher. They'll bring two in if Kelleher goes to Celtic.

Re: Green park station/south Reading station

LUX what's Reading West like these days? In my day it was hardly ever used.

They've finally opened the revamped station. Basically the concourse ticketing, barriers etc are in a new building plonked on the pavement under the Oxford Road bridge. Still no lift mind. Have no idea on passenger numbers.

Re: Green park station/south Reading station

1 year anniversary just passed 160k passengers used the station in the last year. Much more than expected. I come into Reading from Basingstoke a couple of times a week & the station has got steadily busier as the year has gone on It will probably only keep getting busier as Green Park Village ...

Re: Goalkeepers

my main gripe with button is his inability to command his box. When was the last time you saw him come through a crowd of players and take a catch in the box relieving pressure on our defence? I don't think he's ever done it, I can't remember a single instance. Yep, this for me too. Reminds me of t...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

"Party time"-we need at least a draw to stop Blackpool's outside chance of making the top 6 and possible promotion which would put paid to our party time fixture away there next season. So there is an incentive. Blackpool away is your party time fixture? Jeez, Rotherham and Stevenage are ...

PL winter break binned off too.

Hate the scrapping of replays. Sack them off from Round 4, by all means, but not before.

Re: Weekend Football

I think he has Tottenham a much more attractive proposition to potential future signings. He very much would appear to be a manager players would want to play for. Do think that's an often overlooked draw. Dele Ali was saying last night that he spoke with Brendan about Liverpool when he was at MK D...

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

The current stadium is in dire state of repair; leaking roofs, rust, brick work crumbling, drab concrete interior, etc; thus is going to require a good level of investment. Location has always been its achilles heel, but not sure the stadium is as bad as that. 26 years old and yep, a new lick of pa...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

League registration must be earlier than that, fixtures normally come out middle-to-end of June. Would the EFL take a risk on our continued participation in our respective league, if the takeover process is sufficiently advanced by end of May?

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

Palmer Park is difficult because of the leisure centre and adjoining football pitches and the car park being tiddily. I'm also not sure whether the internal dimensions support a football pitch. But yes that's the best option if it does come to that. Is there not a football pitch in the middle alrea...

Quadruple chance done. Poor from Klopp. Players were looking leggy and he didn’t make the right subs On a side note, what is the point of Gakpo? Seems to score a few in Europe but offers very little domestically Big relief that's done...didn't realise Klopps FA Cup record was so poor......and indee...

They’ll find training facilities easy enough. It might be a trek and they might not be very good but they’ll find somewhere Don't forget that needs to include space for the academy teams and the women's team. Or 3 separate facilities That's true, but Hogwood was significantly smaller than Bearwood ...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Spoke to a couple of great oldish Shrewsbury fans pre-match in the pub. They were pretty apprehensive about their chances generally, scoring any goals specifically – , and bemoaning how long it took the board to get rid of Matt Taylor. They did laugh at the dreadful bus options at the New Mead...
