I think that Doyle will always be in when fit, but depending on the opposition will dictate who partners him up front.

Agreed Earnie, Doyle is number 1

Wonder whether Lita's pace will be more utilised away from home on the counter attack ?

It could of course lead to negative vibes from Leroy if this was to happen, but Id be happy to see Kitson and Doyle start and have Leroy come on, as he did yesterday. Taking up the Stephen Hunt role.

I've plumped for Kitson and Doyler but neither of them are secured their place with Lita knocking on the door.

I don't think a decision like that can be made off the cuff. I'm going to have to give this some thought. Last season I would have said Doyle and Lita would start the Premiership off for us, but Kitson was causing problems himself yesterday, hence the clattering challenge.

Each of the three is comfortable with either of the other two so just change it round a bit and see which works best against different opposition. We'll see how Lita and Doyle do from the start against Villa and Wigan, as Kitson is going to miss a couple of games.

I'm excited about whoever plays.

I still can't comprehend Lawro's comments about our lack of firepower.

Does Lita actually have pace? I've never seen him rinse anyone out.

Kits and Doyle.

Kitosn and Doyle for me, but I think Lita is deserving of a start too.

Doyle to me looks like he might take slightly longer to settle and start banging them in. I'm now firmly convinced all three will be successes in the prem. For me Kitson is the one who is first choice, but it is very close.

Doyle got lots of plaudits from the press, but he needs to get his goal touch quickly. On Saturday's showing, I'd say Kitson is well up to this level albeit against a shaky defence.

The thing about Kitson is, regardless of how well he plays or what impact he has he'll still pop up and stick the ball in the net every couple of games.

He's not showey, he doesn't create a lot, but he's got great vision and positioning and his link up play is good. He just gets in the right places and will score a large percentage of his chances.

Lita and Doyle will probably get more recognition because they are more spectacular, but Kits should never be overlooked because he doesn't score 35yrd screamers or skin 7 defenders.

Kitson and Doyle anyday. Although Lita's perhaps the better poacher, we weren't as big a threat yesterday once Kitson went off and he's a handful for any defender with his strength, skill and intelligent play.

To be fair to Lita, that's not the style we play - not since Fozzy left anyway. All of the pace of the team is directed along the wings, so the striker's just have to make sure they're in a good position in the middle. I do think he's a pretty nippy chap, though.
