Winston Biscuit
From Despair To Where? I'm genuinely bemused at what protesting outside Adams Park is meant to achieve.

Seems to be trying to encourage people to be angry at Wycombe the club (their staff and fans) which I find bizarre. Dai is to blame for this situation, no one else. bearwood can't be sold unless Dai is looking to sell it. If this matey from Wycombe didn't buy it then someone else would have. Also, If we don't know by now that the decision making of one owner is not representative of the rest of the club then we never will, and its frankly embarrassing that some people can't.

Being a friday evening, emotions running high, and IMO people now being encouraged to point the finger at Wycombe as bad guys in this, lets hope nobody goes over the top and does something stupid. I genuinely think this is really irresponsible by SBWD

I agree. It's oxf*rd dumb and the sort of thing a 13 year old wannabe activist has brainstormed and not thought through properly.

If the roles were reversed we'd turn up at the SCL just to take the piss.

The anger toward Wycombe isn't totally unjustified, come on. Of course Dai is the culprit here but Wycombe are coming in and knowingly ripping this club apart. Would we genuinely want something to do with another club's downfall and breakup? Sure, we might, but we would rightly be expected to be absolutely loathed as a result.

We don't even know the nuts and bolts of the deal, it's most likely their owner unilaterally seeing an opportunity and fcuk all to do with the actual club.

If were struggling to cover the overheads, it's sure as hell obvious that Wycombe would struggle to as well. Even if owned by their owner, they'll be tenants.

Plenty of Wycombe fans on Twitter voicing their discomfort, if they can be upset with their own owner so can we.

This isn't another club it's another club's owner. Absolutely naff all to do with Wycombe as a club directly, their manager, players or fans. Encouraging fans to stand about around Adams Park dissing the locals has to be right up there amongst the most retarded ideas possible.

Worst it might encourage the 14 yr old retards that inhabit social media to start giving in large and making this club look even worse than it already is to the wider world.

Please for love of God no pitch invasions at the MadStad. Lets at least make sure we can stay up in theory

If people really want to cause chaos, buy tickets to random other L1 games that are nothing to do with us and pitch invade there. Fukk up the league and make everyone take notice. But at least let our team try and play out the season

Suggest QPR given the kit similarities and club proximity, plus you'll want to invade the pitch after sitting in that meccano bucket for 5 minutes.

Just one thought, say SBWD were successful and somehow persuaded (all nice and legal with no naughties happening) the Wycombe owner not to go through with the purchase and consequently the monies Reading fail to receive send the club into liquidation, would that be something to be proud of?

As far as I can see the only way you can make sense of the decision to sell the training ground is if Dai is going to pocket that money. He would be crazy to put it in the club as it will just get squandered and he has effectively made the club unsaleable by his action. So looks to me like this is the final nail in the coffin for RFC.

Perhaps he is just a sick F*** who just gets some sort of pleasure destroying football clubs.

Agreed.

Now, if Wycombe fans want to protest and invite us to join in then that's a different story, but for a bunch of Reading fans to go protest outside another clubs ground when it's our owner screwing our club over that doesn't make sense.

Now if there was a rumour of Wycombe also bidding to buy our stadium, That would certainly get the Wycombe fans mobilised, unless they embrace the wanderers part of their name and are happy to travel to matches.

I don’t think it stems from any real anger at Wycombe. Maybe a couple of ignorant spotty teens but otherwise no

It’s just for visibility right? Same as abandoning a game is a stupid idea, tennis balls is a stupid idea etc

I’ve no issue if it’s peaceful and gets us on sky sports news etc again

Not that it’ll do any good mind you. Like the other protests

genome Twitter really is nonsense now isn't it. Looking at the #readingfc hashtag for up-to-d8 news and it's full of completely unrelated spam and even porn.

Do you really think the money is going to be moved from Dai's pocket to Reading FC?

But what's the point of staying up? Isn't this a monumental blow to us? Stay up so that perhaps one day a merged Wycombe-Reading club can do better?

The club is potentially now in a very serious situation indeed. Is this the sort of thing we want to just allow to happen apathetically while we just look on?

Give me League 2 and a new owner owning the whole club including the training ground any day over survival in League One but potentially no training ground or academy, at the mercy of (now) our biggest rivals.

Is there anything we can do? I'm too young to remember the Maxwell Thames Valley merge days, but if I understand correctly fan action saved the club.

Just thinking out loudly here.

Have SBWD handed the comms reigns over to an educationally sub-normal teenager. Between this and the embarrassment that was the Fuk the FL letter, they've lost absolutely all credibility they managed to briefly claw out of a few better thought out protests.

Why?

It’s a protest against Dai not Wycombe. Wouldn’t be bad press at all if you get some photos of Reading and Wycombe fans together peacefully protesting against Dai

Obviously it needs to be 100% on our tosser owner not WwFc or their owner

Perhaps the final act before the club dies should be a pitch invasion on the last day of the season and get the game abandoned to make one final point of defiance. By then it increasingly looks as though another point deduction will be irrelevant.
