Stoke City 0 READING 1

Taylor (38th Minute)
Att: 10,006

READING TEAM: Hislop, Bernal, Kerr, Wdowczyk, McPherson, Holsgrove, Gilkes, Gooding, Quinn, Parkinson, Taylor (Nogan).

Stoke dominated the game but their lack of striking power up front lost them all the points (a story we're used to eh?). The first half was Stokes until the 38th minute when we scored the winner. Holsgrove won the ball around the half way line, he spotted Scottie Taylor making a run down the left wing and made a sexy pass to his feet. Taylor legged it towards goal shaking off the defenders desperately legging it after him, broke into the box from the left side and fired the ball into the net. The goalie didn't stand a chance. Our one real chance of the game and it won it for us!

Stoke will see a different story. Despite their dominance in long periods they couldn't break Readings defence. When they did manage a shot on goal either it was crap or Shaka was easily equal to it, Shaka again pulling off about a million saves to deny Stoke including some vital ones in the first half that allowed the Royals to have the lead at half time. So Shaka was the best man on the pitch, Taylor had a good game, and if you hadn't read it on the team sheet you would have never known that Jimmy Quinn was even on the pitch. It was nice to see Taylor prefered in the starting line-up to Lee '0.25 million' Nogan. One point off a play off place. Its going to be a nervey end to the season!
