Tactical Error?

My hometown team, non-league Cumbernauld United of Scotland, once took
Kenny Dalglish on loan from Celtic way back in '69 or '70. For a few
brief halcyon months they had at their disposal a player who would go on
to become one the finest strikers in the world and an all-time scoring
legend. So where did they play him ? In goal !!
There's a picture in the club house of a young Kenny upto his knees in
mud, all padded up, between the sticks looking bemused.
No wonder they were non-league.
