Re: Sky Sports reports that Reading FC have withdrawn their offer to Danny Loader.

By Adam Goodwin - Last Updated: 25/05/20 11:08pm "Reading have informed Loader they have withdrawn an offer of a new long-term deal, citing the unprecedented situation the club faces due to the coronavirus pandemic." He wasn't likely to sign it anyway. Sad to see him go and wish him good ...

Re: Biggest Reading FC injustices

Watford. In our favour.

But the biggest injustice must've been Bodin being sent off for us for two yellows when he didn't commit the foul, the ref just cocked up. We lost our best player that day.

Someone has mentioned it yes, PANTS DAY.

Best or worst I'm not sure, but definitely one of the top ten most iconic.

Re: Season Ticket Refund?

Royals, if you are listening, if anyone is entitled to a refund but doesn't claim it please pass that saving onto me. I don't need the cash but it would be nice to have a bit extra to buy myself nice things with. Thanks.

Re: Players who virtually won us games/promotion/avoided relegation on their own

paultheroyal That season under Mark Mcgee - the football was just sublime. I remember the feeling and watching the match knowing I would be entertained and we would outplay the opposition, which happened time and time again.

The correct term on this forum is FSB.

Thanks.

Re: The most charismatic/moronic fan we have or have ever had

Is that Ginger Nige? Who hung Around with the girl " Feret"? They were very close to my seat during the early mad stad years. The big bald fan with his top off was around for a while, I think he was at Swindon away the night Cureton bagged the winner and Whitehead made that monster save. ...

Re: The most charismatic/moronic fan we have or have ever had

paultheroyal Who is the "fan" who sits down in Y26 and somehow always attracts himself to the away fans? "paedo in the shorts" often rings out.

I believe he's the official paedophile.

EFL rules state each club is to have a token paedophile wearing shorts to promote diversity.

Re: The most charismatic/moronic fan we have or have ever had

Not sure if its the same guy but Oxford away the night we won 3-1 springs to mind. A few standing rows behind me and the old man. Jesus 20 years went by fast. Haha yeah doesn't time fly. The last time I saw us play Oxford away was under Taxi. We lost by that scoreline that night, or close to. I rem...

Re: The most charismatic/moronic fan we have or have ever had

Who was that "superfan" chap in the papers? I remember seeing him without a top in the papers. And why was he superfan. Because he took his top off and really wanted Reading to win games? Not sure if its the same guy but Oxford away the night we won 3-1 springs to mind. A few standing row...

Re: The most charismatic/moronic fan we have or have ever had

We currently have some of the worst fans in English football, some of them are a complete disgrace at away games. Loud, rude and deeply, deeply unfunny. everything is pretty much ok as long as it is based in good humour but we just seem to have a load of kids aged 16-25 who get drunk and drugged an...

Re: The most charismatic/moronic fan we have or have ever had

Anyone for Uri 'I bend your spoon with my mind' Geller. Is it really true that he was invited to make a half-time team talk at Elm Park in the early / mid 90s? I am a bit too young to remember that. Only started watching us the season of the failed play-off final against Bolton in '95. yes and he g...

Re: Most underrated/"does a job" player for Reading?

Oliver Norwood. Defensive midfielders who have good technique, good positioning and don’t sprint much get accused of being lazy showponies. Defensive midfielders with poor technique, poor positioning and who run around a lot get praised for doing the dirty work that doesn’t get noticed. In practice...

Re: Season Ticket Refund?

I never actually bought a season ticket, but as a fan I shall be expecting a payment equivalent to the cost of season ticket to cover me pro rata for the stress this is all causing me.
