Re: Our impact on opposition attendances

I was having a look at the impact on home support when playing various teams in League One. When looking at overall attendances (both home and away fans): so far the sides we've played away from home have an average attendance of 7,718. Those same sides have averaged 8,454 in matches against us - a...

Re: Blackpool (A)

I think we've sold around 450 for this one. I don't expect take up to be as good as some other away games this season, due to us playing at Blackpool relatively regularly over the past decade or so - could still see us taking 600+. as the GOAT of knowing how many are sold, do you know know how many...

Re: Official RFC Clownovic Day. The protest thread

Fair play to listening to fans around clarity. Makes things a lot clearer for me with protests moving forward personally. All of us want the best for Reading, me and my mates will now be attending the protest with the objectives in mind. Something has to be done. https://twitter.com/Club1871/status/...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

It is nuts after all that Club 1871 has done that they are still getting questioned by some fans. Only reason why I'm still going to be honest, no way I would have been going watching the dross on the pitch sitting in Y26 and getting outsung by away fans in a half empty stadium each week. Actually p...

Ex-Southbank and East stand chantstarter here, generally disappointed by the new generation of chanters over the last 10 years or so but I have to say I like a certain chant, not sure what it is though. I'm sure you all know it, It starts (notes in brackets)... der(A) der(A) der(G) der(F) OOOPH (or...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

How could it ever hope to compliment the rest of the ground? The south stand are singing their inoffensive dittys towards the pitch, away from y26 (the only real organic area for noise), flanked by away fans on their right and the most soulless part of the ground on their left. It hasn't got a hope...

Old Man Andrews I was back in the South Stand on Saturday, will happily admit I was incorrect.

Are you feeling alright?

If you're not joking, fair play to owning up and admitting you were wrong.

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

You won’t catch many fish with a little maggot like that ... Thankfully Nigel Howe is delighted with C1871’s progress. Agreed. All the naysayers and negative idiots look like fools now. Not really. It was a good atmosphere yesterday but we've had to rely on results to generate any sort of atmospher...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Club 1871 will not be there next season. Guarantee it. If not they have said a few times now that they will relocate in the EDS which may work well. But they did almost double their attendance last game Vs Rotherham with no incentive. And we were loud. Judging by reaction on social media as well mo...

You guys live really such a sad and pathetic life. The atmosphere has been crap for years, some fans are trying to do something about it and you cry and cry and cry. I love how Club 1871 have you so rattled. That's a triumph in itself

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Brizzle have, unsurprisingly, sold out their allocation for tomorrow. They'd have sold 4000 tickets if it wasn't for Club Ego. There are some serious financial implications to this now. Bristol Shitty are not even the biggest team. What about West Brom? Leeds? Stoke? Boro? What if we go on a cup ru...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I think this is my biggest issue with the organisation. How can you go round professing to change atmospheres and claiming to be this great fan movement if you don't go away?! None of them were at Preston. If any were at Brentford then they weren't together. They're not a reflection of me as a supp...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Genuine question. Do Club 1871 go to away games as that moniker aswell? I think this is my biggest issue with the organisation. How can you go round professing to change atmospheres and claiming to be this great fan movement if you don't go away?! None of them were at Preston. If any were at Brentf...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

You speak so much rubbish it's unbelievable. If there has been fans who have moved over from Y26 including myself and have enjoyed it in the South stand more than they have in Y26 then I would count that as a success. If attendance grows, South stand will grow. If we sing all game like we did again...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

But their whole remit was they would fill the stand and be loud and supportive "no matter what". Against Sheffield Wednesday they couldn't even organise themselves to sit together properly let alone anything else. The management of the whole project has been very poor. As I have previousl...
