Re: Reading FC Womens World

Dai has ruined the women's team even more than the men. 8 years in the WSL, players like Kirkby and Williams featuring. Now a part time team fighting not to fall into non League. Shameful. I've been thinking about this. My Chelsea women's supporting colleague said he's been to the Mad Stad to watch...

Winston Biscuit How many different 'definate' organisations are the ITK mob saying are the one who has exclusivity? I have seen either 3 or 4. Can anyone better that?

It's known as "inclusive exclusivity"

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

Did Zing pay for his 51% and did he get it back or forfeited it when that share reverted to SJM? It's something I have wondered before but never checked it out. There's conflicting info. At the time I recall the deal being pay x for 51% with a deadline for the remaining 49% with the lot reverting t...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

If it was the Wilf brothers then we could have won the owners jackpot. They’ve been transformational for the Vikings, who now have the best facilities, infrastructure and stadium in the NFL. Not going to get excited though until something confirmed. Would love to see football run more like the NFL....

https://www.chironsportsgroup.com/ Charlton fans not keen on Rifkind, but one of the backers is a Billionaire. We participate in the growth of market-leading franchises and leagues; 'buy low, operate, sell high' Good to see they know their lemons. I'd hate for us to be bought by a company that buys...

Re: Have your go at being ITK

I was speaking to my work contacts at HMRC and they've said we paid the tax on time this month. They were able to tell me this because HMRC lets all members of staff no matter which team they work in have a look at any taxpayers records, at any time they want. My contacts in DCMS told me Reading are...

18 years old today. https://i2-prod.getreading.co.uk/incoming/article6874092.ece/ALTERNATES/s1227b/JS34137532.jpg Still makes me laugh to think that season our home kit was blue and white, our away kit was blue, and then when faced with the obvious problem this brought about we had a third kit that...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Thing i dont understand about the failed Bearwood sale takes on here is, the planning permission said it was for the personal use of RFC. Ok, so all you have to do if you want to buy the training ground is ask the owner of the training ground to apply for a variation of that planning permission to s...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Being owned by anyone other than Dai can only be a good thing; obviously, if we get bought by someone (or some organisation) and they continually fail to pay HMRC, pay bills or pay wages, who look to asset strip the club of its value and take us to the very brink of extinction, then maybe we can sa...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

So would being owned by a hedge fund organisation be a good thing (other than just "not being Dai")? Being owned by anyone other than Dai can only be a good thing; obviously, if we get bought by someone (or some organisation) and they continually fail to pay HMRC, pay bills or pay wages, ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Reading FC's annual report is interesting in this regard: Number of players = 39. Number of "football management and coaching staff" = 74 Clubs needs mulitple coaches and managers for every one of their age groups. They need scouts for scouting transfer targets. They need scouts and analy...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

So losing half of your income wouldn't leave you feeling a bit stressed GWL? Keeping in mind that the 28 year old footballer probably has 4 or 5 years left of earning well before their career ends. I doubt many lower league players waltz into lucrative salaries after they retire just as the rest of...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

It would stress me a bit, but some people on here are saying its worse for footballers than a nurse working in the NHS, which is patent nonsense. Has anyone literally said the bit in bold? - may have missed it but that is naturally nonsense. But looking at the players we have on our books at the mo...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Although I don’t have too much sympathy for footballers I do think that players below Championship level can still have similar worries to normal working people. I accept they generally earn a lot more money, but it’s all relative. Bigger house, bigger mortgage and bigger bills etc, and they still ...

Agree, it must have put his petrol bill up by a fair amount having to travel the extra distance from Wycombe to Bearwood. Bleeding for her, as we all must be at this difficult time. Really 72? They won't be crimes, will they? Breaches of licensing regulations and/or breaches of competition rules. Yeah. Providing false information to the Regulator will be a criminal offence, or not complying with information requests. So the nuclear options are you comply with the parameters set out by th...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

... I believe HMRC is due this week, but that will be lower than the wage bill ... Does RFC pay VAT quarterly or monthly? If quarterly the HMRC bill this month could be substantially bigger than previous months. I imagine quaterly as there is no point in anyone paying their VAT monthly as it create...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Leaving aside that the bill will fall after Rishi's shock calling of a GE next week, how likely do you think this would get through Parliament anyway? Yeh the biggest risk to this Bill is time. There are about 14 sitting weeks left till the November election. But given the opposition support the Bi...
