Re: FA Cup Changes

Forgetting about greed, power grabs etc., those at the top of the pyramid just seem highly incompetent. The super league was a shit show too. The EFL have just come out and denied being consulted. This will be reversed. Piss up and brewery come to mind. But of course they don't need a regulator. Th...

Re: GDPR and the loyalty points

not really sure why we can't do stuff like this in house to be honest. What are they offering that we didn't do already before? Presumably buying an off the shelf product is a lot cheaper than employing an IT contractor to start one from scratch, and maintain it. How did we do it before these guys ...

Re: GDPR and the loyalty points

This has been like this for 5 years now since they upgraded the system. They do say: LOYALTY POINT HISTORY - UNFORTUNATELY YOU ARE UNABLE TO VIEW THE POINTS TOTALS FOR YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, BUT WE HOPE TO PROVIDE THIS IN A LATER RELEASE OF OUR TICKETING PROVIDERS SOFTWARE. IN THE MEANTIME, PLEAS...

Re: FA Cup Changes

On the plus side, its easier for a giant killing over 1 leg than it is over 2. So you may see more giant killings and smaller clubs progressing further and get more prize money that way. Ask an EFL club that has drawn 1-1 at home to City over 90 minutes whether they'd rather chance their arm in ext...

Re: Champions League, Europa League & Europa Conference League 23/24

I do sometimes wonder whether commentators are a bit dumb, or just stick to narratives because it makes their life easier bit of both imo. Same as when someone takes a pen that goes in and the replay shows it went at a very convenient height for a keeper and not that far to his side, but the keeper...

Re: Champions League, Europa League & Europa Conference League 23/24

Bernardo Silva's penalty might be one of the worst ones I've ever seen They are taken like that all the time though, and as long as the keeper dives then the commentators are telling us what a cool character the penalty taker is. +1,000 I was laughing to myself at how critical the commentators were...

Re: Champions League, Europa League & Europa Conference League 23/24

Don't call me shirley. And he'll win the Bundesliga next year. Arsenal across 180 minutes led for 6. Happy to be wrong. All German Final at Wembley again? I can't see past a Real Madrid stroll. Think PSG must be favourites against Dortmund but Dortmund are a weird team, they penetrated Athletico at...

Bayern will go out tonight.

Their season will be completed by not even being the last German side standing in the CL.

But shirley Kane went there to win things

Re: Champions League, Europa League & Europa Conference League 23/24

So Dortmund and PSG will play for the right to lose to whoever wins the Citeh-Real tie tonight in the final. Having watched Man City repeatedly lose to inferior opposition in the Champs League in person in several of the past years CL campaigns, i see plenty of risk posed by Bayern Munich. I still ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Their involvement can give them some golden years and leave them in a much better position when they finally leave, but long term I don't see how Wrexham can sustain a Championship team in the same way we can't sustain a Premier League club. Population, geography and being a "big club" do...

Of course the magic number is still 1, it's just that we know that it's covered We've already achieved the number of points needed to ensure that four teams finish below us. Therefore it is 0! Magic number doesn't take into account teams playing each other - it is just a simplistic guide to how clo...

Next season it should start from 138 and be updated weekly on how many more points we still need to finish top. Standards must be raised. The temptation to set it up as: Champions - 138 Promotion - 138 Play offs - 138 Survival - 138 And track all 4 is there. But keeping it up would be a mammoth bal...

Re: Derby away parking fine

A happy end to this story. But worth reminding, when you get a parking fine from a private company, you are in a contractual dispute with them. Any "appeal deadlines" are bogus. They can't fine you more for taking longer to pay. And they can't fine you more for taking longer to appeal. The...

Selles - great to see that emotion come out last night - sign that they believe the job is done. As the players came over, he was gesticulating wildly at his team on the bench to get everyone involved. Those sometimes-weird moments earlier in the season where he insisted players applaud the fans st...

GDPR and the loyalty points

Anyone noticed that you can no longer see how many points your friends and family have without emailing the ticket office? Interesting that they would give someone this info about someone else over email without that person's concent. But more interestingly, i can see all the purchases that my conne...

Re: The Magic Number Thread

Does the Magic Nubber take into account the fact that Burton play Cheltenham and also travel to Fleetwood? One of the teams in each match must drop two or more points in each match. That means that at least least four points cannot be counted in the overall total left to play for. This reminds me o...
