Re: Match Thread vs West Ham (A) sponsored by Kaspars Gorkss

I think Adkins tried to sign Gorkss before he came to us, therefore he must highly rate Gorkss and is perhaps starting him on merit.

Hopefully Jay Tabb will be back for Brighton and replace Karacan if he is out. At least you know what you get from Tabb and he is a like-for-like replacement for Karacan.

Re: Kebe's Hammers socks salute

That is a good idea. I do not understand why West Ham supporters show so much hatred towards Reading I think they are just envious of our success against them recently and they cannot endure it :)

Re: Tomasz Cywka joins

Word from the footballing world is that Tomasz is a good player on his day - except you never know when that day is - and has been likened to Matejovsky - and as I thought he was GREAT, it's a thumbs up from me - welcome to Reading Tomasz. Ditto this. I agree as we have desperately needed a player ...

Re: Jason Roberts signs 18-month contract

I think it is a good signing because Jason Roberts is different to the other striking options we have and his physique is more suited to our style of play than the other strikers. This means with Jason Roberts in the team when we resort to the long ball game it will be more effective and successful ...

Simon's Church So we've come into some money and could maybe do with a left back?
There's only one man for the job

I think Bertrand will be a better option than Wayne Bridge :)

Re: Thames Sports Investment

If Jason Roberts does come in on loan I think it will take him a while to make an impact as he has not played many games in the last year.
I think with the limited funds available to McDermott in this transfer window maybe his main priority will be to use these funds to ensure Kebe stays first.

Re: Simon Church

Church has been disappointing so far this season as I thought he would step up and shine after Shane Long left. Church never seems to be involved much in play and in games and when he does receive the ball he usually gets dispossessed and does not do anything useful and effective with the ball. Late...

Re: SPCULATION - Jonjo Shelvey

It is a shame we did not sign him as judging by his performances for Blackpool he is the goal scoring, creative and forward thinking midfielder we need to compliment the other midfielders we have and would add a different dimension to our play from midfield.

Re: McDermott linked with Leicester job

I think Leicester will want a big name as manager such as Mark Hughes. However McDermott might want to work with Matt Mills again and Leicester's stakeholders may think they will be in a better position to pouch Kebe from us if McDermott is the manager.

Reading need to defend well as Crystal Palace's forward players such as Murray, Scannell and Zaha are quick and clinical in front of goal.

rfcjoe Lampard dropped from his club side tonight aswell. Not wanted by club and country. Poor guy.

I think the manager was resting Lampard for the Manchester United game on Sunday.

Danny Graham to Swansea because he was prolific in the Championship last season and could score a lot of goals which help keep Swansea in the premier league. But can he cut it in the Premier league? I think it looks like he is not out of his depth in the Premier League, though he has been unlucky s...

Re: Back after the game (in da jazz bar)

I feel that Howard should be introduced into the starting line up for the Doncaster Rovers game as we have struggled to create chances in the last couple of games and Howard is more likely to create something. The new players need more time to gel and McDermott needs to find a settled starting line ...

Re: Relegation battle

As we lost to Watford today I think it is the worst start to the season since the 2007/2008 season when we got relegated from the Premier League. This suggests that the signs could possibly point to a season where we are battling relegation.
