Re: Mark Bowen

At this point yes it could be true. But there’s such hysteria amongst the fan base and frankly rumours spread very easily in a workplace, and then you get this scenario play out. I’m firmly of the view that the club is likely down to the bare bones staff wise. Rumour mill overdrive. There was one po...

Re: Mark Bowen

Someone from STAR stating on Twitter that Bowen has agreed to a meeting with them. So suggests he is either back or close to being so. Mark Bradley has agreed to meet STAR. Ah apologies, too many people with similar names at the club. It’s cool, the tweet in question just said Mark but I saw anothe...

Re: Mark Bowen

Well Bowen is the "Head of Football Operations" as his job title goes, so really, yes it should fall on him, it is his responsibility for the academy, the first team etc (not sure how involved he is with the women's team although I can imagine he will have a level of involvement at least)...

Re: Mark Bowen

Interesting times   I think what I say here, much has been said already. It feels like, to me, that the shift in structure was started recently and most issues fall to MB. This shouldn’t be the case but it looks like it is - at present. So I can see why we might get no real updates (w...

Re: Buyout

Did I read someone say the players had been told about the takeover before the game on Sat? Certain I read something.
The takeover that clearly hadn't happened it would seem.

Re: Buyout

But multi says it's a full buyout.

Post say 51%.

So a few things flying about tbf, whichever way you look at it. Something is not quite right at the club.

We need players that a capable in and quick.

Re: Buyout

You can't expect an answer to that, surely? If someone entrusts information with you, and you pass on little bits, what you most definitely don't do is tell the world who the source is. multisync1830 mentioned back in Sept about interest from Oman and a Sultan, and only brought everyone's attention...

Re: Buyout

By want him to, did you mean by taking over?

Sorry I thought you meant something else.

Well it's all about the right approach for me. Reading has potential, I'm sure of it or completely mental, with the right approach and good investment we could move with that potential.

Re: Buyout

Man Friday And would we want him to?

It could only be potentially detrimental if genuine though? If it is true surely already enough has been said to upset things? I know the rumour has reached a wide audience (Oman included) mostly generated through twitter.

Re: Buyout

No, he most definitely meant it. I was discussing it with him offline a week before he quoted himself to remind everyone else on here. For all we know it could fall through yet, but what multisync1830 says was certainly the case up until last week. Sounds like pure speculation to me. Indeed between...

Re: Buyout

Has the thought crossed anyone else's mind that Antin isn't necessarily finished at the club? It's been interesting to see how a lot of people have taken the SJM interview and focused on the "not got access to Anton's diary" element, but have missed where he said "I'm not concerned a...

Re: Buyout

Which is why they want to get to the port.... If the Oman deal falls through then all those who laughed at Pompey will be eating their words. In no way is SJM a great poker player, he should never have sold to STI* in the first palace. I never trusted them from the start (see my posts at the time)....

We have scouted over 900 games now and that looking at European players in important. He said players there see a good way to the premier league is via the Championship and they'll use that in negotiations with players coming in. Academy is key and one thing needed to secure cat 1 is the infrastruct...

Re: BFTG Norwich

First half was ok, after the first 5-10 mins we got into the game but just could not make it count. Second half was poor and whilst I see what Adkins is doing I feel he needs time, some want him out already I heard. Karacan has disappointed me this season and today he put us under unnecessary pressu...

Re: How does the parachute payment works

Clyde1998 You get a set parachute payment deal for the four years, but the parachute payment amounts for newly relegated clubs change every three years, with the TV deals.

Yeah so that makes us the new beneficiaries then. Now they'll look at how much we will receive over each of the next four years.

Re: How does the parachute payment works

Towards the end of 09/10 season the new £48m over 4 year deal was announced and I seem to recall Burnley one team that was a beneficiary of the new payments. Wasn't it a 3 year deal? So that makes 13/14 the start of a new 3 year deal as in payments to teams, therefore making us the first beneficiar...
