Re: Esneyder Mena

Gives me a bit of the Paolo Hurtado feels.

Although nice to see an attacking FB linked. Yiadom is quick but really isn’t that great once he gets in the final third.

A senior LWB is bound to be a target and the window isn’t open yet, so not sure why people are bemoaning this.

You can guarantee he’ll be trying to flog us one or more of those listed; and a few are ooc.

Re: Interesting. Is Nelson Oliveira really available?

Agreed. When you look at clubs we should look to for inspiration and getting us back to the Reading way (Brentford) they have one / two / three high earners. The rest are younger players plucked from lower leagues out to make a point. We’ve maxxed out our high earners whilst Puscas, Moore and likely...

Re: Interesting. Is Nelson Oliveira really available?

Did ok with AEK as lone striker but would work well as a lone or in partnership with any of our strikers. Would love for this to happen, but was on approx £25k with AEK. Kia will get him in to the club who can offer him one final payday on a good 3/4yr deal. Iirc he was quite selfish and didn't lin...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Forest and Stoke have unveiled their Macron kits this week. Both a bit meh.

Interested to see what sponsor we end up with for the anniversary kits - bound to be something horrendous. Let’s face it, whoever pays highest will obviously get the deal. Club won’t be choosy

Re: Free transfers watch

Kamil Grosicki released by West brom, he did well at Hull, wide player too. wouldn't mind him here. And Charlie Austin but I suspect he is QPR bound. Would much rather we signed Cheikh Diaby who has just been released by them. Was meant to be highly rated and did well in PL2 (11 apps / 6 goals) onl...

Re: Brentford (H) v Swansea (A) - Championship Play Off Final

Having referenced our final losses to Bolton and Swansea yesterday Don Goodman brings up the Walsall Final as well. Can’t really remember the Bolton defeat. Swansea loss hurt but was over in the first half. The Huddersfield defeat was gutting. For me, the Walsall game was the hardest of them to tak...

Re: Brentford (H) v Swansea (A) - Championship Play Off Final

Fairplay to them. They’ll be mocked as ‘tin pot’ with their new ground. But they have enviable structure and shown impressive consistency to get promotion. They’ve knocked on the door for the past few years and now they’ve done the job. Gives me confidence for us - there’s no reason why we can’t go ...

Re: Free transfers watch

What about Assombalonga? I like him too, similar age, similar amount of goals from the same amount of games for previous club. Just feel we need a back up with more presence in our system. Baldock was swatted off like a flea. When we inevitably lose Joao to injury we’ll be weak in attack and we nee...

Re: Free transfers watch

I think the Bristol City striker Famara Diedhou would be perfect to supplement Joao, Meite and Puscas next year. They’ll no doubt all be injured come September so we need some sort of back up!

Re: Rival Watch

I had a moan about parachute payments on Twitter, just had Norwich fans telling me to cry more and that a Reading fan shouldn't be lecturing others on club finances. If anything, Reading's financial mess is caused in part by the massive gap in finances between Prem, Champ and the parachute payments...

Snowflake Royal I'd like us to make it if only for the pissy knickers brigade to eat some pie.

Oh wouldn’t it be great  some of the vitriol spaffed out over the past 48hrs has been embarrassing. The self entitled have certainly surfaced; and for that alone I’d love the players to prove them wrong.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h)

Always makes me chuckle when fans remove the first 8 games. Imagine being a Bristol City fan Anyway, let’s just appreciate we have a very good & promising platform to build on. It’s not over yet; and with a few decent signings in the channels and releasing a few - we’ll be fighting in the top ha...
