Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (a) sponsored by the search for Reading's first half goal

David Edwards' stealing a living. Paul McShane was Brentford's best player.

Re: Back from the game: MK Dons

Not saying Harriott isn't any good, he did play fairly well tonight. What I meant by the 'lack of a footballing brain' comment was that he picked the wrong option far too often - ie in the second half he lead a counter attack with Beerens in support, delayed playing Beerens in on goal for ages and ...

Re: Back from the game: MK Dons

I do find these back from the game threads odd at times. I can't say I really agree with the take on player ratings thus far, and here's as to why: Jaakkola seemed pretty assured to me. He made some decent saves, one particularly towards the end of the game when it came through a crowd and he tipped...

Re: 13" MacBook Pro

Thanks m8. I've been on here now and then, and browse the team board after most matches, but haven't posted a great deal recently.

I've added my MacBook to the thread though, so thank you.

EDIT: SOLD

13" MacBook Pro

Anyone looking for a 13.3" MacBook Pro?

It's a few years old but is running OS X Yosemite pretty well, has a 250GB HDD and 8GB RAM. Looking for around £300 really, but will listen to offers.

Re: BFTG Everton

Fair performance, but Everton were always in control, always had that extra gear available. My MOTM for the Royals was Taylor. Why did Clarkson make so many changes?. Dont think we have progressed much since last season, certainly need a Goalkeeper and a decent striker . Some of the players just do...

Re: BFTG Everton

Aaron Tshibola is a hell of a player. Last season (or at least the second half of) Chalobah was, for me, streets ahead of anyone else in our team. I desperately wanted him back here but Tshibola has come in and made me forget all about him. The way he shields and receives the ball on the half-turn i...

'Palace have Bolasie, Zaha, Puncheon, Sako, Bannon and Lee Chung-yong all capable of playing wide.

Would be a strange move.

Re: CONFIMRED - Pog gone to Dynamo Moscow

Before his game got cut short through injury, he looked like the best player on the park against Espanyol. I too had hopes for him this season, and again, got a bit of a sinking feeling when his departure was announced, but realistically his wages were unsustainable and it's a big relief for the clu...

Re: Thrd Round Cup Draw

No Fixed Abode If it's Barnsley. Is there any less glamorous tie in the whole World than Reading v Barnsley?

Not going to disagree with you to be honest. The last time we drew them in the cup it was possibly the most dire game I have ever witnessed.

WoodleyRoyal big mistake letting him go, mark my words he will a much sought after player in a couple of years time, just needed to be playing regular football

What are you basing that prediction on?

Without wanting to sound too harsh on him, I am still absolutely dumbfounded that this guy plays at this level. And even more so that we picked him up whilst in the Premier League.

Re: BFTM - Brum Away 8 Aug 2015

Not impressed by Sa in the slightest. He was very poor for the most part, and for a big man he just couldn't stay on his feet (sound familiar?). Unless Clarke made him penalty taker, it made no sense for him to step up and take it. Cox won the penalty and was much fresher than the knackered Sa to g...

Re: Best goal of last 50 years?

I'm not suggesting these are better than some that have already been suggested, but this thread prompted me to look back at Le Tissier videos, purely because I was mesmerised by him as a kid.

But yeah, as far as compilations go... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YB9HjYmYwpk

Re: New Keeper - Stuart Moore

They liked him @ Basingstoke Town last season... Stuart was on loan at Basingstoke from Reading for the 2014/15 season. The young goalkeeper quickly established himself as a key player as he helped the club qualify for the Conference South Play-Offs. His contribution was recognised as he was awarde...

Re: New captain 2015/16

You guys have obviously not noticed the amount of arguments Williams seems to get involved in (a.k.a. start) with his own team-mates.

I'd suggest he doesn't go about communicating that passion in the best of ways, so probably not suitable.
