Re: World Cup Qualification - Brazil 2014

While New Zealand are currently top of the final OFC qualification group, they got knocked out of the OFC nations cup in the semis. This means that in the Confederations Cup next year, Tahiti will be representing OFC. lol (currently, its Brazil, Spain, Japan, Mexico, Uruguay, Tahiti, Italy and whoev...

Re: You'll Never Walk Alone will be played before K.O today.

Just the fact that it's made Reading FC and its supporters an awful lots of friends and got us all masses of positive comment is enough. Exactly. Watched the game in central Paris in a busy-ish and pretty much every person in the bar said it was a good touch. We come out of tho sort of thing well. ...

Kind've agree...it certainly has his posture and shorts Just dont remember DK being any good at keepy uppies tho' I read the book - wasn't really convinced it was Kitson. But it's him. ftr Kitson always had excellent ball control. 90% is Kitson, but the other bits and the ending? No. I still think ...

Reading 3 v 1 Southampton 1997ish- a cup tie, having beaten them the season before in the cup as well, and Dave Beasant getting sent off as well I think? I remember the South Bank absolutely rocking that night.

Caskey scoring; frozen pitch; Graeme Souness squaring up to the groundsman?

Re: Best Reading game?

I have two from childhood that stood out. First was last game of the season, 2-0 down at HT, we turn it around. Keeper gets injured, so Senior goes in goal for his last game. Makes at least one immense full length save at 3-2. My memory is a pitch invasion and he gets absolutely mobbed. Second wasn'...

Beating Bolton 2-1 in April 1995. Midweek evening kick-off (which Elm Park often did better than MS manages to do now), EP was rammed and hundreds were LOLocked out before kick-off. Two in-form teams went at it like a couple of hormonal teenagers who've just found out what their sexual organs are f...

Re: England World Cup Qualifiers

Incidentally not many players turn out for 4 different clubs before they reach age 24. It strikes me that managers think he looks o.k. from afar but when he actually joins a club they realise he isn't that good. Leeds to Newcastle to Villa to Man City All a progress in his [10 year] career. Represe...

Re: Which football ground in London is the worst?

It's on the overground It's on the underground It's inside the M25 and the ground is a fcuking dump Watford And we usually draw or lose there... I may be a rare breed of Reading fan who's actually seen us win at Vicarage Road - 1-0 win on 1st October 2004 (I think?) Either Sidwell or Hughes headed ...
