No worries, Clyde. Wages were consistently too high for a prolonged period (and probably still are tbh) and were the biggest contributory factor as to why we ran into financial problems. Plus the constant chopping and changing. In Mendes and McNulty, just on this page, we've two young, seemingly tal...
I don't understand Joseph Mendes. The one or two games I remember him in, he was absolutely electric. Just looking at transfermarkt and he's 2 starts (scored in both games, including that double vs Villa*) and 10 sub appearances for no more than about 15 minutes. Next season, appears to be 1 start, ...
What happened to that nice Marc McNulty? https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/marc-mcnulty-scotland-caps-reading-36563894 we never got to see the best of him, but fair-does to the fellah Quite enjoyed reading that. Seems a decent chap Yeah plus one Some accurate words about ou...
Didn’t watch game as I was busy, so no comments on the game (crowbar and Norfolk posts a good read) but even with the loss Last 6 games W4 D1 L1 All 11 league games W6 D2 L3 That’s on the edge of the magic 2 pts a game that would see you pushing for promotion. Still time to improve and I simply can...
Grabban didn't play wide so much as play deep. Watch the play off final again, his job was to try and get the ball between the Huddersfield midfield and defence and try and make space/find passes there. Transfermarkt has it as a mix of CF/RW/LW. (I'll actually admit - there may just be a bit of obs...

Come on now. Two of his 3 goals for us were against Exeter under 18s in the pizza trophy. With Ballard, there at least looked to be a half decent footballer in there even if he couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo whilst with us and, to be fair to him, we were oxf*rd shit the early part of that s...
There's some less savoury rumours about Martin - that said, it's a matter of record that he was signed by Stam and then Clement came in. Some of his performances under Clement were  Grabban didn't play wide so much as play deep. Watch the play off final again, his job was to try and get the b...
WRT Grabban, we clearly asked him to do a role that was within his skillset and he did an excellent job at it. I think we played so much better with him on the pitch in that season. It's one of those where I wonder if I'm watching the same game as the people on here.
Looking back, that relegated team was really bad, wasn't it? McIntyre, Holmes, NGW, Lumley in goal, Fornah...most of these guys haven't had a successful career in L1 subsequently, let alone the Championship. Maybe Ince didn't do that badly.... :? Fornah came up a few months ago and in spite of him ...
Can’t really think of much he did worthy of any comment beyond having an annoying surname. Sometimes these things work out, sometimes they don’t, and it’s not always related to the player’s ability. Pretty much. On this sort of thing, if it’s not working (or we’ve changed manager again because LOLz...
Why are the twitter twats so weirdly obsessed with Jayden Wareham's father? Very strange. I think it's because the story goes when Wareham joined Exeter, his Dad insisted he get the shirt number that was retired when the previous owner died young. Not a great look if true. It's a little bit more co...
Wonder where he'll end up now. I imagine he'll struggle physically wherever he goes in League One (or lower), unless he's played in some specific roles - which most sides don't utilise. Probably left us at completely the wrong time for his career. Definitely. Him and Nelson Abbey. Both needed at le...
Caylan Vickers has had his loan to Barnsley cut short and returned to Brighton. Their fans are on the whole disappointed and feel after the first few weeks he was played out of position. Wonder where he'll end up now. I imagine he'll struggle physically wherever he goes in League One (or lower), un...
