Re: Pauno out

I don't think it's the stats that are the problem for me. For me it's the refusal to leave a man up when defending a corner, it's standard doctrine that you leave a man up and the other team will leave 1 back if not 2, so it's at most no worse off man for man and gives us a much needed outlet for a ...

Re: STs 2021/22

Wife and I haven't got our season tickets yet, so up to the ground early tomorrow and hang out in the jazz for a while I guess. However we did get the following in the post https://ibb.co/b3mSMKZ

Must be a joke?

Re: Where are you watching the final (if not at Wembley)?

Sydney, kick off is at midnight on Monday evening, with work the next day. Not decided if I head to the casino or sit at home yet.

lardydah Kudos pal, I've decided I'll almost certainly fly back (from Sydney) for the final if by some miracle we get there, didn't even consider it for the semi though!

Skills. If, by some miracle, we do it I'll see you in Dubai for a beer on the way.

It's on.. Enjoy tomorrow (and the flight back!)

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

It'll be on beIN sports here in the states for anyone interested...unfortunately at 6 in the morning though. 4am on the west coast! Am staying at a place that doesn't seem to have beIN sports, and have called a few of the so called 'soccer pubs' in Seattle and none are opening for the lowly champio...

Re: Hooliganism at Reading

Suspect this is more to do with trying to avoid the Liverpool backlash than anything else. My thoughts exactly! I've not actually seen the paper, but was this actually on the front page? If so, how did it get past the editor, sub-editors, etc? One of them must be bright enough to have seen this com...

Re: 4 games without Gorkss - what to do?

Did anybody else there on Sunday (or maybe it was shown on Sky?) notice that when Hector was subbed on immediately charged out onto the pitch (he made it quite far!) without waiting for Alf to come off, having to get called back by shouts from the 4th official? Hopefully just a lapse in concentratio...

Re: Jason Roberts nearly back

Hopefully now he'll stop this "inch towards the mile" rubbish... Player comes to Reading. Helps us win promotion to premiership. Gets injured, tries to come back but because of injury can't get fit. Accepts year's extension ( who wouldn't?). Gets opportunity to earn extra money whilst he ...

Thanks, it's a shame that Pearce doesn't score more often as his celebrations are pure gold!

Re: Blackpool - back from the game

Thought the whole team were brilliant last night, as previously said like how all of the little partnerships are forming up all over the park.

If we carry on at this rate at home, we might even make it to Adkins ridiculous pre-season 100 goals target!

Re: Back from the game - Watford

Did anybody else notice that their manage barely spent any time within his technical area? A few times he even stepped onto the pitch during his screaming sessions!

Shouldn't this be enforced by one of the officials? Though I guess to be fair, there was no stand to send him to!

Re: BFTG - Burnley

If I remember correctly he did give the ball away (in our half) for the second goal, which was pretty bad even before they put it in the net. I don't remember him doing anything else massively wrong (apart from sporting that awful haircut) though. Would rather blame Pearce, Morro and McCarthy for th...

Re: £500 - Reading to make Play-Offs

You haven't mentioned it, so not sure if you know, but we have Billy Sharp on loan until January: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24187835. I do kind of still worry where the goals will come from though, Pog got two away at Derby and has started to look a bit rejuvenated. Alf should get a few,...

Good shout, hopefully Yeovil have their advertising boards held down by stronger stuff than Crawley did.

I think we'll see wholesale changes to the team and a comfortable win, 2 or 3 nil to us.

Re: What is your home match-day routine

Either: 1) Wake up in London terribly hungover, rush to Paddington/Waterloo/Ealing (whichever is closer), train, cab to the ground and (if time) a few beers in hotel/jazz, few quid on first goal scorer, game, town, turtle, parents house. 2) Go to parents house on Friday after work, wake up fresh as ...
