Re: MATCHWATCH : Fulham (h) sponsored by whoever's got the bottle

Just off to bed in Melbourne, Australia ready for a 4:30am alarm. Game is on beIN sports down here.
Feeling really hopeful for a 2-0 win. Wish I was there for this one, but will just have to wait for the final!
Last game I got to was Sheff Weds away. Worthy of the final.
Enjoy the game and be loud!

Re: BFTG Portsmouth Away 25/08/15

Have seen us 3 times now this season and we've not really played well for any period in those games. That said, last night was at least enjoyable. Good result at a difficult place to go and thought they played well and gave it a go as you'd expect. Crowd was ok, but shame it took a goal to get some ...

Re: Portsmouth Away Tuesday 25th August

In x 2.....but was a tough decision after going up to Colchester and then the Leeds game. That was 3.5 hours of boredom.
Can't miss this one though for £12 for 2 tickets and a shortish trip.

Re: 2012-2015: worst signings

Pretty sad state of affairs when most of the signings in this period are strong candidates to be the worst. I think Hammond has to be held to task for his involvement and I can't believe he has kept his job as long as he has. We have signed some really poor players and continually fail to attract cl...

Re: Steve Clake - New Poll

Clarke's FA Cup stewardship has been as close to perfect as it can get (given our squad. All five "away games" have been defensive master-classes. Four of the games have been away to sides now above us in the league (Cardiff, Huddersfield, Derby, Arsenal) and the other on a bog of a pitch...

Re: BFTG - Arsenal

Very proud of the players and fans. Gutted we didn't get to take them to pens but can't say I'm gutted by the loss as it was expected to be far worse. Was in 127 and the fans were superb. Lots of oldies joining in. Hopefully some will remember that they are allowed to at home games too. All in all a...

Just dug out the lucky pants and will be taking the scarf that was at the Simod final.

Bacon and egg sarnies washed down with a few cold ones whilst on the train to Waterloo for me. Just got to decide on the beer. Difficult decision.

Re: Pubs for Wembley

If going to the pubs near the stadium then Wembley Park tube is by far the best option. The Reading allocated pubs are mostly nearest there, especially the Torch which is probably the furthest from the ground. If you go to wembley stadium station from marylebone you will be nearest the stadium but n...

Re: Your road to wembley

I'm currently sat at Perth airport waiting for my flight wondering what the hell was I thinking when I decided flying back just for the match was a good idea! Anyone else travelling back for the game? Good on yer mate. Hope you can make the final as well. Makes the whining about train tickets seem ...

Re: BFTG - Cherries

Robson Kanu is rubbish in 90% of the games. In a big game he can be a world beater. Quite a dilema for Clarke, I would tell him he is on for the first half , whether he stays on is up to him. The guy has everything except a good attitude, he is a Big Game Charlie. Agree. He could easily be our motm...

Re: Group Save Train Tickets (move if necessary but importan

Went and asked about tickets at Winnersh Station. Usually can get a ticket from there and choose to go either via Reading or the slow one to Waterloo. When I asked about group discount she asked if I was going to the football. I said why? She said it is not available if going to the match!. I said w...

Re: Arsenal prediction thread.

I think it might be a bit tighter than some think for while, but we will run out of steam having been chasing shadows with 25% possession. 0-2 defeat after hanging on for an hour or so. Probably a dodgy pen followed by one on the break when we finally discover their box. Will be happy if they don't ...

Re: Semi final tickets?

I am totally happy with my entire ticket purchasing experience. Queued for 3 x blue tickets and got the exact block and row I wanted. They were very helpful. Only queued for about half an hour. Later phoned (got straight through) and got 2 more yellow in the block I wanted, couldn't pick a row but e...

I think this is a difficult one to call. Should beat them easily but who knows how they will react to being confirmed as down. Not that it should have surprised anyone.

Re: Cardiff (H) prediction thread

Royal Ginger
theresayakonthepitch Agree.....but who would you want in front of goal in the last minute?

Pog- puts it wide
Blackman- misses his kick
Cox -been subbed
Mackie-fair effort but at the keeper
HRK - puts it in row z
Yak -buries it

^ This is stupid.

Thanks as always for your intelligent contribution to the discussion.

Re: Cardiff (H) prediction thread

Hey, leave the Yak alone. Wouldn't be at wembley without him. Who is to say one of the others wouldn't have scored if he wasn't on the pitch, or we'd have lost a replay? One goal does not a good player make. 2-1 Cardiff Hector. Agree.....but who would you want in front of goal in the last minute? P...
