Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (h) sponsored by going for the "lack of 1st half goals" record

Good set piece goal. Free kick 40 yards out on the right. Aluko floats one over the penalty spot, no one rises to meet it, Moore sneaks round the back and diving headers the ball home.

Re: CONFIMRED: Sone Aluko

Very happy with this after watching Fulham several times last year. Aluko has a lot of pace and skill, but every time i've seen him play i've been more impressed with his footballing intelligence. Takes up good positions going forward and defending, knows his position and does a good job 9 times out...

Felt positive about that first half. Good away performance so far, knick a late goal for perfection.

The injuries are obviously devastating but, thinking positively, the introduction of Mendes was necessary regardless.

Re: Back from the game - Leeds (H)

We totally outclassed Leeds today. Our passing was crisp and purposeful and we showed some steel at the back. Shout outs to Kermorgant, Kelly and Williams but the whole team was excellent. I'd fancy us over 2 legs against Leeds. It doesn't matter if we're ready for the Premier League or not, it woul...

Ibrahima Sonko and Noel Hunt invited. Any other Reading FC party legends i've forgot?
Leroy Lita was unavailable due to commitments in the porn industry and I'm not inviting Dave Kitson cos his massive schlong is intimidating.

Great win. Same points tally now as we finished with last year. I'd be delighted with some play off action regardless of the outcome. Long may this continue!

Re: Summer Rebuild 2016/2017

I think all our attention should be on recruiting a striker.

Blackett had a good game against Norwich, along with Obita, that's the left back spot sorted. I also agree with the posters saying Hyam and Dickie deserve a chance as CB cover.

What was the average age of that team? Kermit, the oldest outfield player, but you wouldn't have guessed it from his work rate today.
Fantastic win, not getting carried away, but very very pleasing atm.

Re: BFTG Barnsley

Everyone played well today and i include the subs and McCleary in that. The latter's moment of stupidity is a shame as he has been showing his best form in 2 years.

Al Habsi was excellent. Swift is a match winner. Gunter, Moore and McShane look excellent and there are no problems at left back either.
