Re: Olise being sold for £8m?

Neither Richards or Olise are genuine Academy products. Richards joined us at 16 having been let go by Fulham. Olise was about the same age when he joined. We’ll get a little bit of compensation but neither played for us from the cradle like Holmes and McIntyre have. Even if Richards had been with ...

Re: Olise being sold for £8m?

The problem with this "we need to sell" talk. What if no one wants him this summer? What if everyone is happy to wait for a year for him to run down his contract. It isn't like he is old or playing at a bad level. I can imagine a lot of clubs would be quite happy for him to play another y...

Re: The hardest player to ever play for Reading?

I agree with Hurlock as the hardest. Johnny Walker pushes him close though. He was one of those players who either tackled you or, if you looked like beating him, simply chopped you down. Like all good hard men he had the knack of making it look like a fair attempt to tackle you though.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Watford (a)

Thought I'd just share what was actually said in case anyone is in any doubt that it's "an overblown lefty reaction" (im looking at you Kuntbota). Made me sick to my stomach and the police have been notified. This is why we kneel. https://i.imgur.com/ZZGgAoH.png I am usually a tad careful...

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

Forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere - I am far too old and grumpy to bother with a subject search to trace it. This was reported in one of the broadsheets recently and makes interesting (ish) reading. Clubs really do benefit from those who pay for their streaming access via iFollow. The wa...

Re: Back from the actual game

I've been absent from this board for a couple of years now. Came back to see if it had improved. Discovered that a new name, Karbota, has appeared and that this person is another trolling fool. I'm off back to AE and Twitter.

ps. Olise reminds me of a certain Icelander.

Re: Back from the actual game

NewCorkSeth Interesting development that QPR will kneel on Tuesday when they face Millwall. Clearly doing so because they took Ferdinands comments out of context and are justifying their bullshit with what he said.

Can we clarify, are you a racist?

Re: Iknow, cos I was there. The 21 club

If you weren't at Chesterfield 7-1 Reading circa 1978, I don't want to hear about it You mean you weren't at EP for Reading 0 - 7 Manchester City, January 31st 1968? Newbie! Yup, I was there. Arrived full of hope after our great away performance to hold them at Maine Road. I had already started pla...

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

Is it reasonable to assume that the conditions that still have to be met include those that the PL have mandated ? If so then the Telegraph story is in fact technically correct. However the situation cannot actually arise. If the FL conditions are not met the deal will fail, meaning we can get prom...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (a) sponsored by a Cooper’s brace

Ascotexgunner Still 7 points clear for a play off place.....games are running out.....we should be safe looking at the fixtures.....get through that and then its the playoff lottery. I'd have been more than happy with that before the season started.

.... and we have Rotherham, Wigan and Burton yet to play.

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

Looks like idle speculative journalism to me. There is no precedent, nor, (I suspect) is there any legal foundation to deny a club its promotion based on existing ownership. The legal risks to the PL would be huge.
