Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

To be honest, I remember coming away from the home game against Fulham in 2006/07, a scrappy 1-0 win and thinking "I've just watched the future and it's oxf*rd turgid". That's the date it dawned on me that the Premier League ain't the be all and end all. The journey there was more fun tha...

Stevenage FC confirms that everyone's favourite roly-poly football manager, Steve Evans, has won his own personal World Cup by leaving his role as First Team manager to join Rotherham United https://twitter.com/StevenageFC/status/1780563108819288109 https://twitter.com/RotherhamUnited/status/178056...

joining on an initial one-year contract with an option for a further year. Anyone know if that option has been taken yet or are going to be at risk of losing him due to incompetence at board room level? That option will almost certainly be subject to discussions post season. No reason trigger it ea...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Each to their own I guess. I'd happily take being a Brentford, Fulham or Palace, let alone a Brighton. Just as long as I continued to appreciate it. Some younger Palace fans want Parish and fellow owners out; the same owners who bought them out from administration, avoided relegation to L1 and then...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Burton Albion (h)

Would like to see a relatively strong team to maintain the integrity of the competition for Vale and Cheltenham, but a few changes. CBC Yiadom, Bindon, Dorsett, Mola Wing, Elliott Azeez, Knibbs, Ehibhatiomhan Smith Button, Mbengue, Carson, Senga, Craig, Wareham, Camara Would like to see Senga and Ca...

Re: The Magic Number Thread

I imagine the only way we go into administration is if the deal collapses and Chiron put us in with their charge on the training ground. At which point the Administrators come in and sell to Chiron for a lower fee than currently agreed in principle. Assuming they'd still want us in L2. Otherwise RIP...

Same difference.

When the outcome is certain, there's no reason to wait to see which club it is that drops the points.

Huang Kad has basically revealed exactly what was posted on here earlier - that was from a new account to here so could be the same person. Nope, can confirm I’m not the weird guy on Twitter pretending to be an ITK individual linked to the Thais. Which is exactly what a weird guy from Twitter prete...

Sutekh
Franchise FC Who have Burton and Cheltenham got ?
Does it affect our magic number ?

The magic number is currently 0 so, no, their games won't change it.

Surely it can go negative given suspended points deductions? -5 means we can afford not to pay our staff and get Blackpool abandoned.

Could do that

Re: New owners' top 5 priorities

Fcuk me, you create threads to start debate but I didn't expect the idea that new owners should start paying bills and bringing normality back to be controversial. It's just certain people have to disagree with everything to demonstrate their supposed intellect. To state the blindingly obviou...

Franchise FC
Silver Fox Who would support Bolton? That's madness!!!

Anyway, I'm gleaning from the posts so far that all the other 23 teams in the division will be our rivals next year?

Born after 1995 is my guess

Or just got over it a long time ago.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Put it this way, I expect clubs like Fulham, Palace, Brighton and Brentford will get relegated eventually in the same way as previously well run clubs like Swansea, Stoke and Leicester did. Forget the big 6, it's hard to compete with Villa, West Ham and Everton. There is so little room for error th...

Re: Looking forward to the 2024-25 season

Not sure I see many heavy defeats given our recent defence. We've conceded 3 or more in only about 4 games since Jan.

Re: The Magic Number Thread

Magic number generally doesn't factor in who is playing who because you'd need a maths degree and database to deal with it. With so few permutations left it's fine to include it. The point is to count down to the point of certainty, because of the paired match, we've reached that. There is no longer...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Their involvement can give them some golden years and leave them in a much better position when they finally leave, but long term I don't see how Wrexham can sustain a Championship team in the same way we can't sustain a Premier League club. Population, geography and being a "big club" do...

Re: Looking forward to the 2024-25 season

We will naturally lose a couple of the OOC players, as some will get tempting offers from a division above & we may need to fend off interest in Wing, Smith & Knibbs but, maybe naively, this squad seem to love working together, working for this manager and there is clearly a refound bond be...

Re: New owners' top 5 priorities

I probably should wait until a takeover is confirmed, but hopefully Dai is on his way out. In terms of how I'd like to see incoming owners go about business, I think there are several priorities to focus on: 1) Communicate with the fans Oh how we have missed communication. What is your vision and a...

Re: Looking forward to the 2024-25 season

Looking forward positively, rather than waiting for the next disaster. A feeling of a return to the early 00s, when we were coming out of a period of a bit of shambles under Burns with Madjeski AWOL and Howe allowing money to be thrown at toss, into a period of sustained good football, promotion cha...

Re: New owners' top 5 priorities

Not really interested in communication, especially on any sort of ongoing basis, other than a very basic intro to who they are and what their priorities are, how they intend to achieve them in broad terms and on what timescale. Talk is cheap, words are easy. Actions matter. No one will give two shit...
