Er, so I was right, he did not play.

Yes indeed, just answering your own question:
"Think we had 25000 at home to Saints in the League cup in the early 80’s?"

Tony Le Mesmer Almost there...

Wolves 109
Wigan 109

Do we not hold an unofficial record for the earliest title secured? Man City might best that.

Be serious, Wolves can only get 106 after we have beaten them at their place!

Re: EFL Cup third-round draw will take place in Beijing at 04:15 BST on Thursday

Nextdrawisjust straightforward isn't it ? No seeding, no regiolisation, no clubs requesting away draws. Agree that where and when the draw is made makes no odds. It'll be on a website when we wake up. Having the FA cup draw on TV at 5 pm on Saturday after each round is a tradition that should not b...

I cannot see that the clubs will be too bothered where the draw will be made if they cannot be that bothered with the early rounds of the competition itself.

Re: FA Cup 16/17

For what it's worth*, I think there should be a rule in play regarding what matches TV can show live in the 3rd round. The requirement should be lower league team at home to higher league team. In short, based on last weekend: West Ham v Man City - NO Man U v Reading - NO Preston v Arsenal - YES Li...

A few of us saw game number 13.

Silver Fox Special menton also to Brendon Rodgers for his utter bemusement at the journalist's tactics

Old boys network, innit. Can't be seen to be criticising one of their bretheren :!:

Wasn't that exactly part of Sam's problem, mocking and criticising the previous management?

Re: Clarke interview on Goals on Sunday

Fulham dodged a f#cking great bullet there then. Sadly we didn't. Why didn't Fulham interview BM ? ... Maybe they tried. Although given their recent managerial escapades their judgement is not something to recommend if they didn't. Some on here think Readings recent judgement on managers isn't all ...

Re: It it worth buying a sesaon ticket for 2016/7

Supporter for a very long time. Last 4 seasons have been largely miserable and boring. Couple of stats - 28 wins out of 86 League home games; in 30 of these 86 games Reading failed to score. Hard to recall times when else we've had 4 'bad' seasons in a row. Maybe 1988-92 (end of Branfoot / Porterfi...

Re Will95 Think it's time for some on here to take their head out of their arses if they think there's nothing to play for. Defeat against Cardiff and a Rotherham win on Saturday would mean just a 5 point gap from the drop zone. With 10 games still to play I suggest there's a shit load to play for!...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

The one thing in their favour is that no one is really taking advantage of their fall to create a new long term era of success. It took a few years between Liverpool's fade from glory (let's date the start from Hillsborough, so while they won the league again in 90, it wasn't until 1996 (give or ta...

Re: England - the future....

Stirling was doing my nut tonight. Wasteful. Five minutes before their goal he runs at Kane, forcing him wide, when that's where Stirling should be going. Then he delivers a poor pass out to Kane, who can't get on it and loses out. You want Stirling going wide and crossing to Kane in the centre, no...

Mr.Swainey Lot of time for Gerrard, stayed loyal to his club which is a fantastic accolade in itself when you consider that Lampard left Chelsea for more money and Terry is a criminal.

Isn't Gerrard moving to the States? which is what Lampard did when he left Chelsea isn't it?

TBM Pretty poor that it's taken this long for us to do the double over a team, this season.

Re: Guess how many away wins v top-flight clubs ever

Would I be right in thinkng that the 50,000 crowd at Newcastle is the biggest away crowd we have won in front of? Can't think of a bigger one. It may even be in the top 10 crowds ever to watch Reading, certainly in the top 20. When we lost at Newcastle in 1969 the crowd was 41,000 and I believe tha...
