Re: Rumour - Rodrigo Riquelme

So bored of this transfer now, seems to have dragged on for eternity. Made worse by the constant tweets about him and how the club need to announce him. The same people doing that will be the ones hammering after 2 games if he hasn't scored 8 goals and single handedly won us games. The way it alway...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (a) sponsored by Chris Casper

TBF I have only seen Holmes play once;from memory the occasion was a total left field selection on debut by Stam. His plus points were yes he is good in the air and despite being a fairly young lad on debut he stood his ground;however he was caught out of position (as you would expect) on a couple o...

Imagine bring that much of an overly offended fairy that you have to block people you disagree with rather than arguing your point. Weak, weak and weak.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (a) sponsored by Chris Casper

Got a bad feeling about this one. Cardiff got a really good win at Forest in their last game and Kiefer Moore looked very dangerous. I predict Kiefer Moore will fall away later in the season making everyone's snap judgement of him being a player "premier league clubs should have been looking a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (a) sponsored by Chris Casper

If we’re concerned about Cardiff being a big side, maybe there’s a case for bringing in Holmes? And similarly, I think I’d probably leave Olise on the bench. He doesn’t offer as much defensively as his competitors and his versatility in many ways makes him the ideal sub. Very harsh after his first ...

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

I am never normally in favour of large clubs helping out small clubs in financial difficulties but they simply have to if supporters aren't allowed back in to stadiums soon. The National League and the couple of leagues below will simply fold if they are not given financial support. I think its Lev...

Hopefully he is the second coming of Matthew Upson and hopefully we can cash in on Liam Moore and invest a CDM and a right and left back.

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

They've had some success before - a couple of Norwegian Cups - and they last made the first round proper of the (then) UEFA Cup in 2004-05. What I can't find though is why on earth they have a forward slash in their club name! Is it not as simple as the team representing two towns or districts? Bod...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

AC Milan play against FK Bodo/Glimt in the Europe league later this week. Listened to Norwegian football journalist Lars Sivertsen today who explained that FK Bodo/Glimt are a historically small club from a very small town in the north of the country inside the arctic circle, yet after 18 games of ...

Re: CheLOLsea

Just having a look at some stats and Rogério Ceni has 1152 appearances for Sao Paolo. Mental. They have state championships and national championships in Brazil so, although the big clubs tend to play reserve teams in state championships against weaker sides, there's potential to play 80+ games a s...

Get a grip pal, I just quoted the last sentence, as it was the bit I was replying too.

Apologies, it is a very interesting conversation.

Re: CheLOLsea

Jeez, that's insane. Got to be on track to break the all-time football record for most appearances? Will have to go some to beat Paulo Maldini who is on 647. Of course it is doable if he stays at Milan for the next 7 years or so but I can't see him not going to one of the elite clubs eventually. I ...
