Re: NO TO TO GAM£ 39

I think it's a terrible, terible idea - but the idea of a weekend's shopping in New York accompanied by Reading vs AN Other certainly is tempting! Hm... now there's an idea! How about part of the deal being that the clubs have to fund flights, accommodation and tickets for their season ticket holde...

Re: Green park station/south Reading station

The way things are going at the Prudential I expect them to get very heavily involved in the New Homes/Affordable Homes market. They're shipping all there work to existing pensions servicing work India, the call centres are in India and they're closing offices they have in Scotland. On top of that ...

Re: Green park station/south Reading station

Prudential wants to build 7,500 houses on the flood plain on the northern side of the M4. Anybody else see the irony in a large insurance company wanting to build homes on a flood plain, when it's the insurance industry that's been amongst the most strident in opposition to such plans? OK, I know t...

I personally feel that is a direct function of the price he is quoting. What was it? £250Mill? When the likes of Newcastle, Man C et al are on the market for reported figures some way south of £100M, it does serve as a reality check. Man City don't own their own ground, though, so that suggests t...

Re: 1500 Season Tickets Available

philM The cutoff last year was 50 points IIRC, so the people that missed out then (who will make up the majority of the 1500) will have around 2-300 points max by now.

No, 100 points.

in fact then the number of people who applied and didn't actually get a ST was in single figures - a reasonably large number were sold to new people with no points at all. No they weren't. My girlfriend applied with 87 points and was told that the cut-off mark was set at 100 points... therefore mea...

There was a double decker scheme mooted at one point though (wasn't there ?) How on earth they would have done it without crippling most of the west of England I'm not sure ... There was indeed a proposal to make Reading station a double decker at one point. Think it was first mooted around 3/4 yea...

I think Citeh fans are also great - an absolute pants season at home (no goals since new year's day) but they still get over 40,000 yesterday against Villa. But streamed out with 10mins to go against us, so that the ground was pretty much empty apart from the away end. I was actually shocked by how...

. But, again, I'll ask the question, why should we flatly object to moving fans as a point of principle?? My starting point is that I'd expect the supporters trust to represent the supporters views. If you took a vote of those affected 99% of those would object to it. Is it unreasonable to assume t...

You're all assuming that this "hospitality area" will take the form of Executive Boxes like those on the West side. But as I understand them this is actually an area for East Stand ST holders (i.e. home fans only) to pay a little extra and have access to a nicer area than the concourses (...

To be fair, the majority of loyal supporters had the opportunity to buy tickets. I had the opportunity, but couldn't because of cost :( No, the supporters with most Royalty Points had the opportunity to buy Arsenal tickets. A subtle, but important, difference. I thought people with over 601 points ...

Although this actually suits me much better than the original date, I can't help feel that this is a very poor showing. They've not announced the shift that far in advance of the fixture, and it's for two clubs that are almost as far away from each other as they can be. But then the argument about f...

Stranded At worse I would expect to pay the same but certainly no more. After all you are, in essence, getting less for your money.

No, as you'd be taking up more space, you'd be getting more for your money...

well then, i'll just leave this debate knowing that i contribute more to the performance of my players on the pitch than a fan who sits there all match moaning about people standing and trying to spur their team on. i wasnt having a go at fans that go to all games, if they want to sit there and moa...

You obviously don't understand the way it works, then. Spurs will, according to FAPL rules, set aside the required 3000 tickets for away fans. They're completely meeting the rules in that. But then their FLA rep, and the safety peopel at the local council will say "You don't have adequete segr...

I tell you what, go to the game and you will see what I mean. There are no means of increasing away fans tickets. Admittedly, I haven't been to WHL, but surely they could give us another stand instead? It's their fault they haven't got a suitably sized away facility, so it should be home tickets th...

Would anyone be kind enough a bit more detail about this route? I travel to Brum from Reading about once a month so this could be a nice little time saver  There are a number of ways you can get up to the M40... I used to travel to/from Yorkshire twice a week, so got to know all of the routes...
