Re: Nicky Forster

[ He's emblazoned all over the Team's Ford Focus, is pretty much on the back of The Argus every week and, as pointed out previously, is pretty high on virtually every fan's favourite player list. He's got an awful lot more than many other 36 year olds. PS. He was a quality player for us. Is he stil...

Re: World cup qualifiers

The best thing about last night, apart from the technical ability on show, is that we've recaptured our world seeding back from Croatia. Of course, we could do the real cntish thing and let Ukraine beat us so Croatia have no chance of qualifying - but we wouldnt do that would we? Lets face it Scotla...

Re: World cup qualifiers

Stranded Ireland aren't a home nation. Yes I'm being pedantic but it's Monday and its early.

Its not pedantic.
Saying Ireland are a home nation is just like saying France are.

Best fans in the world, though. Or is that Scotland?

Re: Season/Team Fears & Concerns - Season Review Pending

My main worry is that there is a point in the future, maybe the near future, maybe the far future, that I cant be arsed with all this anymore.

Ive never liked the Stadium (Im surrounded by kids and I hate kids) and its an increasingly long distance to a half decent stadium.

Re: Howard Now Confirmed

Kebe, McAnuff, Howard, Bryn, Gylfi, Tabb, Matejovsky, Karacan, Cisse (+Davies, HRK, Henry), all vying for 4/5 places. My guesses - Kebe - Starter / Bench McAnuff - Starter Howard - Dont know - could well never play for us Bryn - Bench at best Sig - Starter Tabb - Bench Matejovky - Who? Karacan - St...

Re: What in hell's name will the team be from now on?

To be fair, that's what you end with when you panic buy in the bargain basement. I think we have a half decent squad now, to be fair. There are going to be some big losers mind you. Long - Quite a long way down the pecking order, now, arent you? Church - Should have scored when you had the chance H...

Re: Shane Long Vs Simon Church SEASON WATCH

After today's game, and if I was a betting man, Id bet on Church to score before Long. Indeed, if we do get a first team striker in the next week, wouldnt be surprised if we dont see Shane on the pitch for a while. REALLY missed Doyle today, if you can allow me to say something obvious. Neither - t...

Re: Back From The Game - Sheff Utd (H)

My main question is 'What is the pecking order at the club?' Harper should have walked into the team today and to make Pearce captain at his expense is pure folly. Any player we have with some pedigree of playing at this or a higher level - Cisse, Hunt and Long - are walking around like zombies as i...

Re: P3 F0 A?

these guys arent kids. In footballing terms they are, until they get experience in games. It isnt apologism - its tolerance - and thats the Reading gameplan for this part of the season. The club believe it will reap rewards and I hope they have the far sightedness to not make judgement after 3 game...

Re: P3 F0 A?

Reading (unambitious, short-sighted, f'king hopeless) Not too sure about the short sighted bit - in fact their current model is the purest definition of far sightedness. Im fully expecting us to be bottom 6 if not bottom 3 for the first ten games of the season. Its quite clear that we are testing w...

Re: The perspective thread.

LOL at everyone. What a bunch of pussies. We lost to Newcastle. Expect it. Accept it. Move on. Thats it. We played a load of youngsters, because thats the model we've adopted, and no-one is going to abandon that model after two games. I know we've been spoilt by success, but, FFS, there is nothing l...

Hello little RTG people. How are you in the declining and I mean declining world of Reading FC? You are not in the same league and Dodger is Champion and will ship you lot out without a m...

http://www.fellowearthlings.org/images/home_meerkat.jpg Brenda Dodger is now under instructions from the Madman to sell Simon (no goals) Church to Liverpool as Roy Evans thinks he has great potential. Brenda (do as I'm told) Dodger has identified these two alert looking strikers as replacements to ...

I think we'll win quite comfortably.
But struggle a bit more in the other 45 games.
We'll benefit from New Manager syndrome.

PEARCEY He shouldn't be past his best at 28 but he does need a fresh challenge. .

Well I was hoping that might be under a new manager with a new squad.
If he does go, are we in danger of over selling our experienced players?

Excellent bit of business if this goes through - LOL at all the dickheads slamming Madejski. What choice did they have? If it wasn't SJM's fault, the disaster of the last 2 seasons was all down to Steve "I've got money to spend but am happy with what I've got and don't have an effing clue why ...
