Re: Dear Mr Chairman

Even excluding Sig, the output from our academy in recent years has been outstanding. It will be an achievement to continue that. But if we keep selling them to other sides, to the detriment of our own, in order to balance the books, then we will end up where we ultimately deserve to be. Or, if we ...

Re: Mcd says we haven't got any cash....

I respect that Madejski wants to bring in the right owner when he sells, but I do hope he hurrys up and finds this person before we gradually find ourselves with no money, selling our best players and no interest from buyers. And back where we were pre-Madejski. Madejski has been marvellous for our...

[*He says it to placate the masses, but deep down this guy has no ambition to get club back into the top league....]

Yes, I am sure John Madejski is happy in this division with the club losing around £6-7 million a year.

Re: Vuvuzelas at the Madejski

Leeds have now banned them. Probably the first time I have agreed with Chairman Ken Bates, quote "They are a dreadful noise and frankly we can do without them".

Unfortunately I understand from customer services that Reading have no plans to ban them at present.

Stephen Hunt praises Reading FC

From Tribal Football Wolves signing Stephen Hunt has fired a parting shot at former club Hull City. Hunt hit out at the way the club have nothing to show for their two-year spell in the Barclays Premier League but fond memories and debts of around £35million. The Republic of Ireland international sa...

Sadly I believe our chance has gone with the loss of Mills for 4 games. Although I would love to be proved wrong.

[Who were the 2 centre backs playing during our record breaking defensive record?*]

[Paul Bennett and Martin Hicks.*]

I thought it was John Hulme(not mentioned yet) and Tommy Youlden.

Re: play-offs?

I think our best hope is for Cardiff to go into administration, then we will only be competeing with Blackpool, Sheffield Utd, Middlesborough and Doncaster and that means 3 points behind and 2 games in hand and that would be an achievable target. This quote from the evening Post sums it up ( fans ar...

Re: play-offs?

Actually it only needs one team to go on a great run. For 74 points: Cardiff 2 points per game, everyone else at least 2.4 points per game. Cardiff could yet go into administration to fend off the tax man and have 10 points deducted. We have 2 games in hand on 7th and 8th places which if won would ...

Football is played on the pitch you retarded moron, not in the bank. Had reading cut cloth sensibly then we wouldn't be in this mess. As it stands, we treated our situation like we were 20 million in debt and sold our recognised players, exactly what those other clubs did. Pathetic management and t...

Only 2 wins off a play-off place and not a quarter of the season gone.
Cannot see what people have been grumbling about. :)

Re: What are we here for?

The objective of the club will be to remain solvent and try to achieve as high a league position as possible. The players leaving the club are long seving and as such (even with relagation clauses in their contracts) will be on wages too high for this club to support at this level. Our record breaki...

Re: New manager Brendan Rodgers *confirmed*

Strange that there has not been anything on the official site yet. At least I would have expected the club to announce a press conference some time tomorrow. Could there be a problem over personal terms? The last official report from Reading was that the clubs had agreed a compensation deal.

£700 Season Ticket!!!

For best seats at QPR. If this is what happens when billionaires get involved with your club then stay away. Re: Madejski's comments to BBC Radio Berkshire

Madejski is correct. The players are taking too much money out of the game. Chelsea wage bill this season is reputed to be a staggerring £170million and yet it was stated at the Champions Legaue Final that theirs and Manchester Uniteds combined debt was £1.5billion!!! Over 50% of clubs are behind in...

Re: Time to button it, John Madejski

So when John Madejski took over the club in the old Division 3 with the dilapidated (but loved) Elm Park and started pumping money in to prop up the club, do you really think he thought "this club is going to make me millions"? The hotel is there to help make income for the club and media ...

You have spoilt my day. Did we really pay £550,000 for Michael Meaker back in 1995?

That has reminded me of the record £25,000 we paid for Hughie Cheetham in the late seventies who struggled to make 12 appearances before being transferred to the Wokingham Town!!!
