Re: Back from the game: It was better...

It feels a little bit too much like Southampton for me. We can play well for periods but we lack any real Cutting edge, We have a young squad and we like to pass the ball around. It was a better performance but it still didn't yield a positive result for us which in the long run is a worry.

Re: Coppell to Brighton?

I think there were bigger forces at work when Coppell was at Man City than met the eye. I'd really just let Royalee get on with his hatred of Coppell I'm sure Copps doesn't really care what some cretinous oaf thinks about him.

Re: FAO Doom n' Gloomers: Rodgers terrible signings

Rodgers wasn't to blame for the whole thing but anyone who thinks his comments had no effect at all is extremely naive. Given the conduct of the club previously while conducting transfer business that case showed this manager's inexperience and was a mistake.

Re: FAO RL: Rodgers terrible signings

Rasiak - Slow McAnuff - Inconsistant. When he first started out he was touted as a potential Premier League player. Do you not think there are reasons why this potential has not been realised? Howard - Overweight.Apart from a decent cup run with Barnsley has never been anything other than an averag...

Re: FAO RL: Rodgers terrible signings

Rasiak - Proven goalscorer at this level and decent target man. McAnuff - Proven winger at this level who Rodgers clearly gets the best out of. Premiership class at best. Howard - Once considered by some to be one of best midfielders outside the Prem. Lovely left foot, passionate, decent on the bal...

Re: The Official Rodger's Soundbite Thread

Explain to me, what is the point of saying that his family are affected if not to garner some sort of sympathy. What was the point about appearing tearful (if reports on here are to be believed) after the QPR game, if not to try and garner some sort of sympathy? I hope he is hurting - it would show...

Re: Mulberry = no world cup?

There was an episode of Panorama a couple of years back that exposed certain aspects of the voting system. It discovered that when we last bid for the World Cup The FA didn't go to the same "lengths" that the other bids went to in securing the finals.

Thanks Mook. I'm just sick of that repetitive luddite going on as if he's some sort of genius.

Re: Really back from the game/pub

Stupid I may be but blind I'm not. All I see is my team in the relegation zone as they were before the game . The only difference between tonight and the previous games is we actually managed a few shots in the first half as opposed to the 89th minute ones we usually get. Rodgers may be as you clai...

Re: Really back from the game/pub

MM gave the best midfield display by a Reading player tonight since Sidwell left. Church's movement is excellent and he played very well in all but the most vital aspect of the game. Anyone still wanting Rodgers out after that performance is either blind or stupid. And what a great interview he gav...

What is it with you lot and HRK? the guy is Kebe mark II.He's awful in the final third and falls over when the wind changed direction. As for Davies he isn't good enough yet. 442: GK Fed RB Karacan LB Stretch (how we've missed him) CB Ivar CB Mills RM Henry (as overrated as he is he can at least hav...

Re: What do we expect?

As has been said before he has a more than competitive squad for this division but he seems incapable of lifting them to the level of their true potential. Rodgers has had money to spend, (maybe not as much as people would've liked but more than enough for decent Championship quality additions) but ...

Re: Back from the game: QPR v Reading

The guy is useless, totally inept. What does he do during the week? send loving texts to Moronho, stare at himself in the mirror practising his interview technique, it's just atrocious. Wally Downes said in his interview on BBCRB that he and Dillon were let go because the club wanted to go in a new ...

Re: When was your turning point?

I voted Peterborough but technically it was about six months before he was actually appointed when he first went to Watford and it was suggested to me that he might be a good choice for manager if SSC left. At the time my exact words were, "In a few years when he's more experienced" and my...

what a pointless sub. why when we're struggling defensively does he swop strikers. Tabb should be on for Kebe so he and Cummings can double up on Thomas.

Re: Back From The Game - Middlesbrough (H)

We have tried the "be positive and give the team your support", it made no difference. Have we? I must have missed that. If you mean "be positive and give the team your support by keeping quiet and not booing" then yes I suppose we have. We are just not the sort of club for that...

Re: Lita 1 C@nt Hammond 0

I think we have to remind ourselves that Leroy has spent most of the season up to now on the bench at Boro. Of course he was going to start against us, and inevitably he made his way through our powder-puff midfield and leggy central defence to score. But three games from now he'll probably be back...
