Re: Zurab told to find new club

Zurab Khizanishvili is in talks about a move to Russian club Anzhi after being told he is free to leave Blackburn Rovers for nothing.

The 28-year-old had stints on loan at Newcastle United and Reading last season after falling out of favour at Ewood Park.

Re: Gylfi to leave ?!!!

Mid Sussex Royal Mate is a box holder at Spurs and knows some of the backroom team.

If he plays well until xmas they will bid in Jan - Redknapp is a big fan.

Not sure we accept bids that come in an envelope.

Re: A HISTORY OF PRE-SEASON FRIENDLIES

Bit of a geek thread alert  Many Nobbers are aware of the face that I have a continuing spreadsheet detailing all of the first team matches that I have attended and up until now I haven't had a pre-season friendly page. Spending a quiet Saturday night attempting to detail the pre-season frien...

Re: International Call-ups

Y21_Royal So the same date as the Torquay game? Does that mean I'm travelling all that way and I won't be entertained by HRK?

Gutted

Missing the chance to watch him hit the first man with every cross is something I won't get over easily.

Re: Henry to Millwall

cos he can go past the full back, which henry generally cant his crossing improved last season, and will again this hopefully He can go past a full back we have two or three better wingers who can do that much better than him, his crossing was and still is woeful and he rarely if ever beats the fir...

Plymouth_Royal Did you not see hrk nuts halford, dick him aagain, help williams by tracking his man and generally trying to make an impression.

My Gran could go past Halford and she has the two distinct disadvantages of being A. Scottish and B. Dead.

Re: Henry to Millwall

Personally I think it's a shame. As other people have said not breezing past full backs has hardly hindered Beckham. When we played Peterborough he put in three or four very good crosses, which is more than HRK managed in a whole season (Can someone please explain why the guy is so highly rated?) an...

Saw the game and they were very lucky. French battered them, last minute equaliser and they had too rely on the other result.

Re: Rodgers is still the right man

One off poor performance from players is either from the manager getting his tactics totally wrong for a game or the players having an off day. Frequent poor performances from the players is either the manager being incapable of doing the very basics of his job or the players simply not being good ...

Re: Vuvuzelas at the Madejski

Leeds have now banned them. Probably the first time I have agreed with Chairman Ken Bates, quote " They are a dreadful noise and frankly we can do without them" . Unfortunately I understand from customer services that Reading have no plans to ban them at present. Bates was talking about R...

Re: How are Barca not being done for tapping up?

Fàbregas started his career as a trainee with Barcelona but was signed by Arsenal in September 2003 at the age of 16. he did not manage to play a first team game at the Camp Nou. Sensing that he would have limited opportunities at Barcelona, he joined Arsenal That to me says he opted to join Arsena...

Re: New Song for when Swansea Come to Town

Sad thing is, most of the above posts are people being serious. Brendan Rodgers is a good manager , i'm probably in the minority but i wanted him to stay, don't think there was any danger of us going down. Things just never worked out for him unfortunately. For people to slate him just reminds me h...

Re: EngLOLand - The Backlash!

Did I hear correctly last night that Del Bosque only reveals his team 3 hours before kick off? Admittedly I haven't been paying attention to such things, but I don't recall the Spanish team coming out and whining like babies about it. To the outsider it looks like they just got on with it like prof...

Re: EngLOLand - The Backlash!

There was a good point last night about Spain - where they play players in their best position and dont just give them a game (out of position) cos of their reputation - hence why Fabregas sits on the bench and doesn't get put wide left/right Slightly wrong Sergio Ramos is usually a centre back and...

Re: Emile Heskey tribute thread

I completely and utterly disagree with you. Out of all of the teams in the quarter-finals onwards, how many played with two up top? And even the one or two that did didn't do so in a traditional 4-4-2 formation. Heskey should never have started for England in this year's World Cup simply because we...

Re: Davies and Mooney told to find new Clubs

As Forbury and Royal Rother have pointed out if Davies hasn't quite reached his potential then it's time to see if someone from the Academy (are there any Centre Midfielders added to the squad this year?) ready to progess up and be given a chance. Hopefully Davies will get picked up a League1 club,...

Re: Slovenia Pre-Season Tour

I think any established player not on the trip is extremely unlikely to still be with us on 1st September so I expect that Mooney, Davies and Cummings will all be off permanently - or on year long loans. I am a bit disappointed about Davies. I thought he had potential but obviously the RFC manageme...
