Re: Next Manager

Keane would probably be ok for a short term fix, but can't seem him being a long term solution. Once the "Martin Allen effect" wears off we'll just end up back here this time next year, if not sooner. No one's gonna want to come here and play for a bully. Hughes would probably be more of ...

Re: Congratulations, you are the new Reading manager

As Reading still haven't announced a new manager here is your opportunity to pitch for the job. What formation would you play (a different one for home and away matches perhaps)? FOUR FOUR F[U]CKING TWO! Which players would you drop and why? Swift and Ejaria. We need Ham and Eggers in midfield not ...

Hope it's not locked before we find out from Bournemouth4Eva why his favourite team are going to get relegated to League 1.

Re: MARK HUGHES OUT!!!

genome But Eddie Howe manages Bournemouth?

Not sure how they are going to get relegated to League 1 from the PL. Is it Financial difficulties R4E? Heard they'd borrowed money based on future transfers.

Re: Next Manager

Apparently Bowen is favourite with the bookies. What the actual oxf*rd oxf*rd? If that happens we are down.....and League 1 next season. Seriously it would just confirm on here that the owners know f*ck all about football and Nigel Howe has gone senile or had his brain removed by the Chinese in a &...

Re: Next Manager

Don't be a knob OMA , no one is pretending to be an insider. It's pretty easy to judge the quality of our coaching by what happens on the pitch. It's an opinion based on evidence. Don't fancy your chances on getting him to not be a knob. You should have read his next post before you said that reall...

Re: Next Manager

Well, the absence of evidence that coaching happens between games by what goes on on the pitch during them is a bit of a hint. Many of our players have been successful and played well before joining us, yet much of our team can't get fairly basic fundamentals of football like passing, movement, tra...

Re: Next Manager

John Smith Ainsworth would be a very astute choice. He'd be able to work on a budget and bring some promising talent up from Wycombe, also the likes of Akinfenwa who would also be a real handful up top.

Re: GOMES OUT!

A lot of overly hysterical fans today throwing a tantrum over a manager who was here less than a year and had a record barely better than his predecessor. A predecessor who a lot of the same people were baying for the blood of. Jose is a very very nice man and I hope he has success in the rest of hi...

Re: Next Manager

Danny Nedelko Will be hard to fully get behind a grumpy, uninspiring welsh oxf*rd of a manager who will never be as good a manager as he was a player.
But we can try.

Might be able to teach Puscas how to keep a shot under the bar.

Re: GOMES OUT!

Also, at those who bemoaned structure, organized and naivety with Gomes who are now disappointed with the prospect of Hughes. Look at Blackburn, Charlton and, to an extent, Stoke. I can see the appeal of a younger manager from lower down the pyramid like Ainsworth, but if Hughes is true I exp...

Re: local info saturday from a Bristol City fan

Yeah because in the last 7 years we've failed to attract even one new fan who might fancy a trip down to Bristol. Agreed. Unfair to criticise someone who is trying to be helpful, even if some of the advice is a bit nannyish. As someone who visits Bristol a lot, I would have said the bigger problem ...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Victor Meldrew At least now with VAR there is a second opinion so a blatant dive will not yield a penalty.

You what? A Spurs player literally chokeslammed Rodri earlier this season and VAR didn't give a penalty.

That's just the most blatant example, they only use it on offsides.
