Re: Your Fav 3 Reading goals EVER

I'm still screaming out Convey's name as he runs down the pitch to slot that one away. Sublime. Thanks for the youtube link :doffs hat: Leroy's overhead/bicycle kick for me as well. I had the picture of that goal on my desktop for AGES. Fed's goal as well to rescue the Cardiff game, get a point an t...

Re: Back From The Game - Ipswich Town

Antonio has enough about him to become a good winger in the future. He won't improve without game time at this level though. Is ball control natural, though, or can it be learned? He reminds me of Kebe though - before he became consistently brilliant. Flashes of genius surrounded by silly mistakes....

Re: Harte is Rubbish, not good enough for the Championship

Harte can't score goals while taking corners. If we continue to use him to deliver the ball instead of heading it in, he is going to get nowhere near 18 goals this year. In fact, if his set piece delivery continues as it has done so far, he will be lucky to get to 10 goals. And I'll happily buy you ...

Re: Harte Signs

A goal every OTHER game would be pushing it to be honest, there's not a lot of 20 goal strikers at this level.

Re: The Defence

In Matt Mills we have a player who is capable of getting us into the playoffs, or leaving us mid-table or worse. On his day he is inspired, on a bad day (like last night) he is torture. McD needs to stamp this attitude out of him, calm his frustration, and get him playing consistently if he is going...

Nathan Bowden-Haase?

Seeing as we picked Michal Antonio up from non-league Tooting and Mitcham, one could safely assume that we have eyes on the non-league, yes.

Re: Reading FC vs Ipswich Town Match Thread

I think you would struggle to find a fan who thinks their club are spending too much of the ogliarch chairman's money and that they don't need any new players at all.

Re: Team for Ipswich

Fed Cummings - Mills - Harte - Armstrong Gunnarsson - Karacan Kebe - McAnuff - Robson-Kanu Hunt I would have preferred to play 4-4-2 but HRK has earned a start and this is the only way I can accommodate him (moving McAnuff to the middle, as he actually looked pretty tidy there on Sat) If I did go 4-...

Re: Burger Vans outside the MadStad

I used to enjoy the proper Rollover hotdogs served up in the stadium concourse area, since they have done away with those and replaced them with gippo ones I don't eat at or around the stadium at all now.

Re: The Defence

What Floyd said about the intent of the opposition rings true for me. If it's 0-0 after 80 minutes against a side who are hanging on for the point, you must surely push for the win. 0-0 and you have crafted very few chances all game, then certainly hang on for the point. 1-0 down I would always push...

Re: What are your hopes for the next five years?

A top half Championship side has to be pushing for promotion, else they are a bottom half Championship side, especially in a league this year with a real paucity of talent, with the exception of QPR, who seem very reminiscent of our promotion side a few years ago. I'd like to see a small investment ...
