Re: Record Watch 2019/20

It's looking like we're going to need to find something else to sing about . . . . . . With the league title in the bag, they will drop off. Very hard to keep going once you've done enough. They will also start resting players up for the Champions League. I think you grossly underestimate the menta...

Re: Bowen Out.

There has been an improvement under Bowen, no doubt about that. But given the huge amounts the club has invested in player recruitment, I would say that a top 6 finish (or top 6 form) is the absolute bare minimum the club should be achieving this season. Anything else should be considered a failure...

Beat the weather by heading to Rotherhithe for Fisher 1 -1 Crowborough in the Southern Counties East Premier. Originally planned to go to Dulwich Hamlet, but was very wary of a late call off so went for the banker 3G option. A mundane but smart and well looked after modern venue just a few hundred y...

Re: The Non - League thread

Obviously not, that wasn't the point as you well know. The laughter was directed at the farcical nature of what happened during the game, again as you well know. Accuse me of sympathising with racism again and you'll have a problem, won't have that I'm afraid. :| I don't think I accused you of anyt...

Re: The Non - League thread

Atherstone Town 1-1 Worcester City. FA Vase 5th Round. A lively and at times shambolic event with a real cup tie atmosphere throughout. If ever you are up for a neutral non league ground visit, these later FA Vase ties are pretty much as good as it gets. Crowd given as 842 but clearly a lot more tha...

Re: BFTG Bristol citeh.

To be fair apart from Leeds and Cardiff, all the games had between 9 and 12.000. I know Luton and Brentford don`t hold much more than that but hull and Wigan had very small crowds, people work and to get home and then go out again on a freezing night isn`t top of many peoples priorities. Agree with...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by Jason Bowen

Looking forward to most of the team being rested so we concentrate all our efforts on a memorable 12th place league finish. We are long shots for both promotion and relegation. We are exactly the type of club that should be giving the cup a proper go. Mid table and improving. Shades of 2009/10. That...

- might haul over to RWBT after work Tuesday night, to see if there's a reason Fairford are flying so high this season - they are the visitors ; that's if I have the oomph and none of my dear family have pinched my car  - Missus currently waiting for her new one to be delivered. I might have ...

windermereROYAL Done my stint at that place, last game or not, it`s a shit hole in the away end, will miss the pubs though.

The new ground is very close by and as far as im aware, the pubs aren't being demolished at the end of the season

Re: Ade Williams

I don't think his recent podcasts with former managers and players have been that great, bit of a missed opportunity in my view. Would have been better for one of the pro journalists to have done these as they would have done more homework and asked better questions. Just don't understand how peopl...

24 Chalfont St. Peter 0-1 Whitstable Town After an aborted attempt at Hitchin Town (M4 closed, M40 fckd) I ended up here. The place is an absolute tip, def in my top 3 of worst football grounds ever visited. Where to start? No programmes, never a good sign. Rubbish and broken stuff lying about ever...

Re: The Non - League thread

Wokingham & Emmbrook 2-1 Chipping Sodbury Town (AET) Good effort all round from the hosts for this fixture, no doubt helped by the fine weather. A quick headcount of over 200 must surely be their largest attendance since reforming? I would suspect the official att will be less than this in the a...

Re: The Non - League thread

Reading City finished 2nd bottom in the Hellenic League but seem to have kept their place. Anyone know what happended there? It should be a 20 team league with 2 relegated. They finished 18th so it shouldn't really be a relegation spot. I believe they were waiting a while for confirmation though. I...
