Re: steward watch 2010-11

They're probably doing some screening so they search those who most look like trouble-makers.

The tattoos on RL's knuckles mark her down as a potential hooligan so no wonder she gets her bag searched every time.

Re: Bertrand on loan, again

Bertrand thought too highly of himself wanting to break into Chelsea, he had no chance, he simply hasn't showed himself to be good enough for that. So he told us to naff off on coming back. We accept his decision and find someone else. He then gets told he's got no chance of breaking through at Che...

Re: Bookies in East Stand

I understand that illness forced them to withdraw less than a week ago. The club are actively looking for a replacement. BTW it's not just the East Stand, it's the whole stadium. it is not illness as spookily I saw him today where we had a chat where contents will remain private. But dirk it's cert...

Re: Kit design

You're all missing the point that there is a limited number of design "templates" that the kit manufacturer comes out with each year - choices have to be made from that, so there's not the option of starting with a completely blank sheet of paper as suggested.

Re: new changes to stadium

paultheroyal Bookies have gone due to personal reasons!! Yeah, probably because of all the abuse they took from punters for the crappiest odds ever offered at a football match.EVER!

Illness, actually.

And they only ever offered odds - no-one was forced to accept them if they thought them outrageous.

Re: Stadium Of Pain

The simple fact is that music is a subjective thing. No matter what song is selected, people will post how terrible it is, because it's not their choice.

Which is why I simpy don't care, and don't think it's worth making a fuss about.

Re: Back from the game - S****horpe.

Just to clear up the reason for the first goal being allowed, having watched it at half time, the ball in from their guy was actually going backwards until it hit Mills. You can't be off-side from a ball going away from goal. I don't think that's right. What about most crosses from near the by-line...

Re: Back from the game - S****horpe.

Was their player in an offside or onside position when their other player shot? That's the bottom line. Are you talking about the first goal? The ball was going backwards until Griffin deflected it forwards. You can't be offside from a ball going backwards, and you can't be offside from a ball play...

Re: Back from the game - S****horpe.

Long is is a good, honest, second striker - he'll chase the lost causes and win the ball for a main striker to score with - he's particularly ineffective playing as main striker in a 4-5-1 (or a 4-4-1-1 if you consider Gylfi playing behind him). But why we play 4-5-1 at home is beyond me anyway! We...

And it could be argued, that losing "stars" isn't a tragedy for football.

It's a team game, and I'd rather see a settled team playing together as a team than a team made up of big name stars who don't care for anything exept money and don't feel anything for the team.

Yep - would he be loaned to us? Almost certainly not, even if we did want him. But we don't, as we'd rather develop our own young players rather than other clubs'.
