Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by hopeless causes

There was a short section in the second half where we saw the strengths of the tactics Gomes employs. The movement from flank to flank was superb but we had no final ball. At all. Swift seems to be the only one we have capable of that. On that basis I say oxf*rd it. Let's go classic Brazilian. 4-2-2...

Sutekh
John Madejski's Wallet Bring back McDermott

No problem with that so long as he was finally given the chance he was allegedly promised on his second return.

He wouldn't be..

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by hopeless causes

Might sound silly here but I dont think we are going to start getting anything from games until our closing down tactics change. Currently we have 1 player close down the ball while the others close down space. We need to either start having the other players close down the passing routes a la Pep ...

Well. That's curtains for Gomes. I don't want him gone in particular but I cant see how the owners will keep him on. Hes oxf*rd it.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by hopeless causes

Snowflake Royal Why does Yiadom think he's Messi?

oxf*rd hell, Barrett's actually crossing the ball. Must start then.

Shame he followed it up with a pass to a Bristol playing in our box.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by hopeless causes

Zip We are now in the relegation zone

And there we shall remain. My optimism is completely gone. I thought Puscas was just in a dry patch. Now I see he was just on a hot streak and has reverted to form.

We cant score. We wont survive.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swansea City (a) sponsored by Andy Legg & Jason Bowen

It's an effective system with the correct fullbacks. It's how Fulham played when they scored a shed load in the playoff season. They played narrow (coincidentally with Aluko on the right) and Piazon on the left (again not a winger) with the width supplied by Fredericks and Malone who are two player...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Swansea City (a) sponsored by Andy Legg & Jason Bowen

I’d say the main differences aren’t actually between 5-3-2, 4-3-3, 4-1-2-3 or whatever else but how we play in terms of width We are very narrow this season - that’s been the main difference between say when we played McCleary/Barrow last year and this. We just play a tunnel through the middle with...

When was the last time you gave me information about Neil Palmer???? Exactly. Well I'm going to tell you anyway. Its Morbier. Morbier is my favorite ...

Re: Worst start for many years.

As always, are they there because they're good or because they're ok and got an easy 3 points off us? Yeah this. 3 points makes a big difference when it’s not out of very many. We see the same argument every year “oh we’ve played x of the top 8” well yeah, that’s because they picked up an easy 3 po...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by hopeless causes

Nope. Putting my foot down here. The answer to formation problems is not "let's try another formation". We dont even have the players for it. Ffs get a grip. Well said, but nah...let's change formation...and then blame the manager for changing the formation. See lineup changes in here. Bu...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by hopeless causes

Maybe I had my Rinomhota tinted glasses on. I thought he was better than the rest over 90 minutes. I think whoever's anchors can look dreadful because of our style. The anchor has to simultaneously: Mark a midfielder Cover for a CB pulled out of position Cover for a fullback out of position Pick up...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by hopeless causes

Maybe I had my Rinomhota tinted glasses on. I thought he was better than the rest over 90 minutes. actually quickly scanned who scored and he did pretty well made a lot of tackles and interceptions, but gave the ball away a lot (6 times). The latter is probably what I remembered more. But he got a ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by hopeless causes

Don’t think you’re far off tbh. Although expect Obita instead of Richards and possibly Joao in for Meite. Probably see Adam on the bench somewhere too I cant remember, are you one of the people who is not overly fond of Meite? I think we need to start rewarding goals tbh. I think Joao is better sui...
