Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by a new hope

Understood - but likewise I’d expect Baldock to make more of an impact In the first 60, and would rather have more of his time on the pitch

Chance for Olise, Barrett or McCleary maybe on the bench. Agreed we certainly don’t need Richards, McIntyre and Blackett on there

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by a new hopes

Meite is also injured. I'll be amazed if he's in the QPR squad Would probably give Loader a start and give Baldock 30. What Gomes should have done with Obita (albeit very different situations). I think we’d be a lot more effective starting Loader and giving Baldock 30 rather than the other way arou...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by a new hope

Yep agreed on Meite, didn’t look in a great way

Not quite sure how that challenge escaped a booking tbh

Re: MATCHWATCH : Queens Park Rangers (a) sponsored by an Ingimarsson header

windermereROYAL Yep Obita was doing plenty of stretches during the numerous injury breaks today, needs a rest.

Yep noted that

Re: MATCHWATCH : Queens Park Rangers (a) sponsored by an Ingimarsson header

URZZZZ Still don’t think Obita is fit enough to play two games in three days. Think Richards has started the season better anyway but that’s a different point

Yep fair enough if so with obita. Not massively fussed either way

Same team unless Meite is injured. Rino back on bench if fit

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by a new hope

Ref just completely lost the plot. When he started giving drop balls and being completely played by their diving

Most his actual decisions weren’t terrible but just the constant stoppages and time wasting

Yes, I actually like the admission that he was ok with 0-0 after 70. As I was as well

Re: BFGT Preston (H)

Thought Obita did ok. More solid than Richards and he is the best crosser in the team by a distance

I’d give him a run there. I think he suits the newish system and style of play

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by a new hope

Beauty is in the eye and all that

Found it far better to watch than under Gomes, more entertaining- direct at times without being hoofball

Personally how I think football should be played (unless you have super talented Top level players)

Re: BFGT Preston (H)

No arguments with this ratings Ian, exactly how I saw it. At a push thought Pele was a 7 and did well esp in the first half Preston started well and I was a bit concerned but yeah they didn’t do a lot. Genuine wtf were they doing with all the play acting, time wasting and getting in the refs ear at ...

Looking on the highlights - that really was one hell of a shot from Obita for our goal

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by a new hope

They were much better set up at FB. Was so simple but basically when Obita went forward, Moore moved out to LB and went back 4 and same on the other side.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by a new hope

Thought both Puscas and Meite did fine. Tough game and both showed up. Puscas really does make excellent runs and gets in the right places, so think it’s a matter of time before he gets a few

Baldock was good off the bench as well. New option and looked fast and sharp. Gomes shat the bed with him.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by a new hope

Thought we played well. PNE top of the table and we just about outplayed them. We just shaped up a whole lot better. Players seem to know their positions and proper actual tactics PNE were a horrible divey, niggly bunch, constantly play acting and trying to ref the game. Deserved to lose deep in inj...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by a new hope

It's strange, but anything better than a shambolic defeat will be seen as encouraging. I mean, things are looking bad for us right now, but come on. Preston are a good team but a loss would be hugely disappointing and is our easiest game this week This is why I think we'll get a point minimum tomor...
