Re: BFTG Leeds Home

It was 100% Kelly's fault. Very naive way of thinking Ian. Liam Kelly deserves all he is getting from Gomes. Sorry had to rewatch the highlights, nope Martinez fault. Poor pass, telegraphed and Kelly clearly isn't showing for it. The ball doesn't even make it to him. If Gomes doesn't think he is go...

Re: BFTG Leeds Home

We deserved to lose, i'm not sure 3-0 was a fair reflection. I agree with that but, on the other hand, Leeds missed at least two guilt edged chances in the second half so it could, and should, have been 5 - 0 although Ayling should have been sent off for a nailed on second bookable offence. I'd arg...

Re: BFTG Leeds Home

About time someone saw through Liam Kelly. My love for Gomes has grown stronger. Very harsh to make comments in the press like this. Yeah we can see he didn't have a great game but he played what 25 mins??? and got injured after 15? And the 2nd goal was from a hospital pass from Martinez. Would hav...

Re: BFTG Leeds Home

Interesting comments from Gomes re: Kelly: He is not injured. He wasn't selected. The reason is, remember the last time that he played. I must work inside me to bring him back to the team. I didn't like what happened at Sheffield United. He's still my player, he's like my son. But I have children a...

Re: BFTG Leeds Home

Saw a team fight and scrap last night so at least we had that, we didn't roll over and some players even put the boot in a bit. We didn't go out with a whimper and ran for 90 mins. Unfortunately we had a depleted team 3 goals down and we had to bring on midfielders, and some players just aren't good...

Dont Leeds play wingers on the wrong side so they cut in a lot?
Maybe having a right footed Gunter at LB isn't the end of the world.......

(i'd rather not though)

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (h) sponsored by Nicky Forster

I think any goal where a player has executed his decision excellently is not luck. He decided to shoot and pulled it off perfectly, if he hadn't it wouldn't have gone in. It would have been lucky if say, it had brushed off a defenders toe deflecting the ball enough to take out of the keepers reach ...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

So poor old Olson was impeded. What a shame after he spent most of the game assaulting our players. The best thing about this win was that we beat a team of absolute thug. If we go down, we will meet more teams like this in Div 1. I cant be sure but it looks like Olsson holds Meite first which is e...

Platypuss Hopefully the players aren't as much of a pussy'ole as you are then.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

Fills me with dread. Henandez could rip us apart at will. They're beatable - not saying we will beat them but nothing to fear here. Not quite sure how you can say that, they have been excellent at times. They have also taken far better teams than us to the cleaners. Our only chance is an early red ...

Re: Bftg- Wigan (h)

I'd like to see him shoot more. Couple of times I felt he could have had a go on Saturday That could be said for a few players, that will come with a bit more self belief. A few times we see players try and hold the ball up waiting for others to support them and then losing it in decent areas. When...

Re: Bftg- Wigan (h)

However, fair play to the referee for adding time on. No long delays for injuries The delay after their first goal with 2 players down? The delay with Ejari? The delay with Moore? The delay before our second goal? Did you watch the game? Think its referencing phantom injuries, players over doing th...

Old Man Andrews I'd also like to see us shithouse them a bit, wind them up early. They have a couple of real hot heads in their side.

This.
TBH we have been pretty naive and too nice which in this league, you get walked over or as we have seen many times this season the ref not dealing with opposition properly.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (h) sponsored by Brian McDermott

Tuesday night cant come quick enough for a nailed on 3 pointer to Leeds. This is considered the worst away ground in the Championship, with the most dullest atmosphere and supporters. Cant believe you have reduced the away allocation so a few can bang an embarrassing drum in what should be given ov...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

More importantly, Wigan fans are not particularly looking forward to Saturday. They won't have many fans here. If the 500-600+ in 1871 can generate some noise, and the East Stand follows...then this can only be good news in what is a huge game for the club. Forget the agenda of what some individual...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I honestly don't know how I can sleep at night worrying about all these other Reading fans who think they are above their station. You run the station pal.... Apart from the fact I have never actually moved my seat and have no strong feelings towards C1871, positive or negative? But you dont agree ...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Which they had to give away free beer for thus costing the club even more money. Draw people in with free beer or lose out on potential £25 - so really, they are selling the tickets at £15 - like they are for Preston. But no one is complaining at that. With the 20 plenty scheme every adult pays mor...

How long until they are being sold on ebay for £20 - I want one and was not willing to deal with queuing in any format today.
