Re: You're Paul Clement - how do you set up for QPR?

I would like to see Swift start. He really should be fit enough to start by now. I would go with the following team Mannone Gunter Moore Elphick if fit Richards if fit Bacuna Kelly Swift Barrow Aluko Bodvarsson We need to win. We need to be braver. I would play Bacuna in a CDM role ahead of Evans. I...

Re: Reading or England?

Wales winning the World Cup would surpass any footballing achievement for me. Just getting to the frigging World Cup finals would be enough.

Re: CONFIMRED - Paul Clement appointed as new Royals boss

Any chance we could not spend our time dredging up past criticism of our new manager and get behind him to see how he does over the next 18 - 25 games before complaining? It’s a fair point JMW. Could easily find as many positive posts about him and plaster them all over here as well Give the chap a...

He was at the club during much better times than this so let’s hope it’s a good sign.

Re: CONFIMRED - Paul Clement appointed as new Royals boss

I wish him well.
Didn’t realise his dad Dave committed suicide at just 34. I remember his dad who was a very decent player but wasn’t aware of his awful demise.

Decent performer at Championship level although still fails to close down quickly enough on occasions. He is a bit of a teacher’s pet though.

Re: Players on social media

A number of players have made it very clear they regarded Stam as a top man. All this stuff that he had lost the dressing room is without foundation.

Re: POLL: Paul Clement in... are we still going down?

I dearly hope I'm proved wrong but I fear his appointment would finish off the relegation job. His most recent experience is getting a club into trouble at the wrong end of the table. The owners left it far too late to make their mind up on Stam and to find they sacked him this late in the season, ...

Re: who do you want as the new manager

PistolPete I assume people are not saying they want Marco Silva simply because it’s so unlikely? Far an away the best option if conceivable

Is he? Clement was more successful than him last season and Watford were on the slide when he was sacked.

Re: Stam Gone

Well this is a mess. Im definitely reserving any judgement until I see what actual masterstroke the club is going to pull here. I cant see how we can sell the club in its current position as having definite championship prospects for next Year. Well, somehow they sold it to Stam after we finished 1...

Re: Stam Gone

We have seen Gunter racing over to Stam when he scored against Burton. To be fair, that tells us nothing. Gunter would have hugged his worst enemy after scoring a goal. After some criticism of his celebrations scoring last season against his old club Forest, he admitted he was so excited he didn't ...

Re: Stam Gone

OMA, so you are skeptical, or even outright dismissive, and that's fine. You may be right. So, how would we know then, if they actually WERE happy with him? Would we never know? Or are you waiting to see or hear something, some sort of confirmation, that we haven't yet? We have seen Gunter racing o...

Re: Stam Gone

It isn't obvious in the slightest. The players have to look to be sad the manager has gone and the majority of them don't run their own accounts any way. You appear to be the one talking bollocks. Jonathan Low says the players apparently loved working with Stam. If he had lost the dressing room we ...

Re: Stam Gone

out of all the managers mentioned, I'd probably take him over a good 75 % of them. Exactly the sort of appointment we should be making. Him or an up and comer from the lower leagues. Sack BT and I'll be one happy man. I thought "no way" earlier, but I'm coming round to the idea. I was rea...

Re: Stam Gone

What a load of bollocks. What were you expecting them to say? Maybe nothing if he'd lost the dressing room, which he obviously hadn't. The only thing he'd lost was the plot. It isn't obvious in the slightest. The players have to look to be sad the manager has gone and the majority of them don't run...

Re: Stam Gone

Those of you who think the negativity was solely on Twitter or this spackerboard are living in cuckoo land. There has been very little support for the club, especially at home, when the going got tough. I attended my first (and probably last) Star AGM in September where we had the pleasure of Jaap ...
