Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (h) sponsored by as tough as it gets

CountryRoyal
Snowflake Royal Second to absolutely everything at this point.

We look tired. Norwich played very well, best team this season. Haven’t thought we’ve done too badly considering, just never look like creating anything substantial, as expected tbh.

They look very good. No reason to be concerned tonight

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (h) sponsored by as tough as it gets

I see Prutton has predicted a 3-2 win for us. Do pundits keep track of injuries and form when making these predictions? Feel free to dig this up if I'm wrong, but there's no chance we're scoring 3.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (h) sponsored by as tough as it gets

Ejaria has two goals and three assists this season. He’s only played a third of the minutes he played last season. If he got to six goals and nine assists that would represent a really exceptional season for someone who doesn’t take set pieces. I'd say good rather than exceptional. If you want exce...

Re: Injury watch 2020/21

Apparently Tyrese Campbell is out for the season for Stoke. Huge player for them. Will be interesting to see if they keep the pace now.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (h) sponsored by as tough as it gets

yep moaned about the lazy criticism of Ejaria on here the other day. He's been very good this season. Obviously room for improvement, and he's had poor games no doubts (Birmingham for example). But generally a big plus. Olise has had some poor games too. Obviously he's younger and you can cut him m...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (h) sponsored by as tough as it gets

Is Ejaria good? He might look pretty with the tricks but he doesn't actually get us any further up the pitch or put in a delivery. He’s frustrating at times but when you consider he has just turned 23 and being played out of position; you can’t really question if he’s a good player. Clearly one of ...

Re: Next 6 games?

I'd happily take 5 or 6 points tbh. Keeps us in touch, even if we drop out of the top 6. With players returning and some shrewd strengthening in January, I'd back us to regain the ground. Key sheets key. As against QPR, a single bit of brilliance from Olise or Ejaria, or a Morrison header from a cor...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Norwich City (h) sponsored by as tough as it gets

This is the first in a tough run with an injury ravaged squad. If we can be 3 - 6 points off the playoffs at the end of it I wouldn’t be too disappointed, as I'd back us to make that up when players return and with some astute strengthening in January. Clean sheets will be key, given goals will be t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Queens Park Rangers (a) sponsored by Jones 2, Tait

A reassuring performance from Gibson. He will get game time now and is very likely to stay in January. Laurent was brilliant. What a signing he’s been. We really need Joao back on Wednesday as Baldock offers no threat. Lots of hard work but that’s it. With Joao back and Olise starting we can get so...

Re: Injury watch 2020/21

windermereROYAL Is that 3 hamstring injuries now since Joao has been here? clearly walking a tight rope every time he crosses that white line.

I'm fairly sure there would have been more rotation and protection if Puscas was fit. One injury has basically increased the risk of another.

If Meite and Joao have substantial injuries, that's the worst part about last night. We'll drop down the table like a stone.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (h) sponsored by an utter shambles

Tonight looks like a big banana skin to me. Firstly, our home record against them is abysmal. Secondly, they seem best when playing defensively, soaking up pressure and hitting teams on the counter. They've taken 8 points from fixtures against Swansea, Stoke, Brentford and Bristol City but have been...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (h) sponsored by an utter shambles

Gibson might be recalled in January tbf. Don't we only have him on a half season loan with an option to extend? Best to have 4 CBs with how packed in the schedule is. TMac will get his chance i reckon. Isn't Gibson the only LB cover for Richards? But agree that it'd make sense to send him back and ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (h) sponsored by an utter shambles

I think Holmes may well be a better prospect at CB than McIntyre and I'd be quite happy seeing them playing together for us for many years. Holmes seems like the perfect replacement for Morro, who can't have many more seasons at this level in him, so maybe we'll see a transition between the two acr...

Re: Back from the actual game

It`s going to take a serious amount of money for us to accept on offer, the way to push our promotion push off the rails would be to let him go. Could easily see a 20 million bid coming in. Just pray we can keep him past January.. It`s going to take a serious amount of money for us to accept on off...

Obviously the red card helped us today, but anybody else disappointing for Holmes? Denied his 1st goal by a handball on the line.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

They are the worst side I’ve seen this season. Only Derby come close to their absolute uselessness And they’ve spent a ton of money to produce an incredibly conservative, dull and one paced side. How can you have no shots for 85 minutes, even with 10 men? (I’m not counting that scuffed block effort...

Re: Rival Watch

Norwich haven't looked great this season although they've had worse injury problems than us. I have an irrational dislike of Norwich which I think is down to Daniel Farke looking like Billy Ray Cyprus. Don't like Bournemouth either. Only where they are by sticking two fingers up at FFP and gambling...

Hound Norwich 0 1 Sheff Weds

Bloody hell, Weds were abysmal

With 10 men. They were looking pretty comfortable and breaking well at 11 v 11.
