Re: BFTG: Donny

Aren't there hawk eye cameras in the stadium or are they prozone? They point at the pitch either way and seem to focus on the area. We should use them for replays sod the FA. They're not there any more - they're for the Opta data collection for the Premier League, don't need them in the Championshi...

Re: Buyout

Very ' Cordial '...hmmmmm... HAHAHA Oh my! look up the word cordial my friend HAHAHAH Oh my ! look up the difference between a noun and an adjective my friend I think the point was that Rfc1987 seems to think that SJMs use of the word cordial means something other than "warm and friendly"...

Re: SJM staying on as chairman

What would happen if, say, the local council didn't give planning permission for these pitches etc on the land they've just "bought"? For gods sake, read the press release from the club. The exchange of contracts stipulates that the sale is conditional on getting planning permission In ot...

Re: New Training Ground

But Anton has no money and we are broke and he's going to sell up? The area around Hogwood is currently being sold off for property development. Far be it from me to suggest that AZ has had the proverbial £££ rolling in his eyes and considered that he could sell off Hogwood to the property develope...

Re: SJM staying on as chairman

I do wonder if there's a link to the announcement about the training ground today.... Perhaps things have moved quicker than expected, perhaps the costs are higher (I can't think what it must be expected to cost buying 120 acres of land in the heart of the Thames Valley, let alone building 15 pitche...

Re: Buyout

Wouldn't surprise me if there have been some loans secured against club assets... What people need to remember is that it's not just a matter of TSI buying SJM out for £25M. There's also the matter of some £28M that the club owed SJM in directors loans (which I believe I read somewhere in a dissecti...

Re: Buyout

Well, clearly something is not right. Why would you agree to a buyout and then not pay your second instalment unless there was something stopping you? Nothing surprises me anymore, a Saudi coming in to buy out both SJM and Anton is no more ludicrous than the thought of us signing an ex Real Madrid ...

Re: Buyout

Hi guys,I really hope everything is ok in the buyout camp.... however JM I feel was desperate for money as the printing empire was going down the tubes,so take with a pinch of salt the fact AZ was a perfect fit....JMs house was recently putup for sale....is this knowledge that the deal was looking ...

Utmost respect to anyone who made that journey last night-did someone really get back in three hours ! Two and three quarters actually :) Was parked right next to the ground - walked to the car after the final whistle, and hit the M1 at just after 2145....M1, A43, M40, A34, East Ilsley, Compton, As...

Re: Barnsley - in the car

Just got back to Reading. We were pretty poor to be honest, and Barnsley looked far from relegation material. All in all a draw is fair, we had our moments, but they were few and far between. McCarthy - made a couple of decent saves, but his distribution is woeful....I found myself almost wishing F...

Re: TSI - The Promises, Policies & Progress Thread

My point was, probably naively, that if you shake hands on a deal and pay the first half when required, surely you pay the second half when required too. If he's not yet paid because he's having trouble finding £12.5 million, then I think it's fair some of us might worry. And yes, my only concern i...

Re: TSI - The Promises, Policies & Progress Thread

But we have no idea whether there is a deadline, and whether it has been changed. Where have you been? Charles Watts spoke to SJM recently and he confirmed the date was for the end of September but could also move and both parties were happy with the arrangement. Thanks hadn't seen that confirmed. ...
