paultheroyal Looking to go to this. Is it a doable visit etc by train?

From Reading, you'd be able to get a train to Manchester Piccadilly and transfer there to get to Horwich Parkway (train towards Blackpool). The stadium is less than half a mile from the station.

Or go via Preston instead of Manchester.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Carlisle United (a)

That was a cracking day out, and a great result we totally deserved. Absolute scenes when the goals went it, because of the shit seating there were loads of people in the aisles and most of them fell over, every time. Great atmosphere and I thought 3 little birdies sounded great - and in the concour...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Carlisle United (a)

Their fans are as deluded as the manager. https://thebuzzisback.boards.net/thread/420/reading-league-1-basketcase-fc?page=5 They seem deperate for us to go into administration and get hit with another points deduction. They don't seem to get the point the EFL penalties are based on precedent, apart...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I think this news is a likely explanation why the team started so badly on Saturday, they probably heard it shortly before. Whatever confidence they had was shattered.

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

People talk about cheating or the integrity of the league, in reality we have been rightly punished for breaching FFP and got relegated, but I don't see how late payments to players or the taxman are cheating or affect the integrity of the league. Everyone got paid. I think we have more to moan abou...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

A couple of things about that statement, who are other "identified football creditors"? The racking up of fines is understandable but stupid IMHO. The fine came about from a frankly unrealistic demand to meet 2.25 times the normal months wages with a months notice in a situation where the ...

Is this another first for the club? The first club to ever be hit with a points deduction for LATE payment of tax?

Why are they selling these tickets a month ahead when the game is likely to get moved?

Just wait a week of two until it's clearer.

Thanks for not mentioning the away match where we gifted them 3pts. I'm still traumatised by those late goals.

Re: liam moore to return till end of the season

AthleticoSpizz FTR the complainant was Jahmari Clarke, and yes, Moore said exactly that SCIAG.
Clarke was advised to take it to the Police by a recently retired very senior ex-copper now in a senior position at the club.
Moore advised him not to.

And the alleged racist is now playing in Italy.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Fleetwood Town (a)

[ How was Abrefa? As Stealth said, looked solid but was also clear that he wasn't ready to play essentially a full game especially on a sticky pitch. More than good enough for this level though and a solid back up to Yiadom, even more so if we have to manage his game time during this busy period. I...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Fleetwood Town (a)

Just back, I thought we deserved the win and the late goal feels like a loss, particularly as Wifi should have made it 2-0. Fleetwood were an odd team, a lot of short players and a short keeper but two big centre halfs who won everything. Decent turn out, Fleetwood is what you'd expect although one ...

Re: Carlisle (A)

Just seen pompey fans complaining on Facebook about the view from on of the blocks. Not sure which block though. Here are some pictures so I would chose your seats wisely. As they look horrendously bad As Sutekh posted the stand is misaligned to the pitch. Frankly I think they are taking the piss p...

Re: Run of Six pointers

skipper Fleetwood lost today, so their form isn't so strong. I'd like to think we're going to just begin to start playing with flair and confidence like today. I think we can beat them.

Fleetwood had won the previous 2 and were ahead until they had a man sent off. Tuesday will be a tough match.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Charlton Athletic (h)

Maybe warn them that there's CCTV and allocated seating, so if they're not in the C1871 they will be identified pretty quickly, and as Sutekh says it will be obvious from the address and ticket purchase history. TBH Charlton are still trying to extracate completely themselves from their previous shi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Oxford United (a)

I'll take the point after being behind, if we'd of scored first we'd of won that comfortably. Pre match we had a decent brunch in the 4 candles, rammed with Reading fans, the bus takes ages to get to the ground and it clearly caught a lot of people out as you could see Reading supporters arriving 10...

I think that was Millwall, as I recall I took my daughter to her first and last game, she had no interest in anything except the police horses.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (h)

I thought that was the best I've seen us play for a while. We had an energy that has been absent for a while and I didn't see at Wigan. The team battled and scrapped to stop Derby playing and we played some nice stuff. Derby had no shots on target. A mention for the ref, I thought he did well despit...
