Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Just got back and I feel like we've lost. We worked our socks off this afternoon in the face of a number of challenges that the referee ignored and on a poor pitch. Samba - 7 - I've only seen their goal in real time and I don't believe it was his fault. He had a good game and crosses into the area ...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Thick Forest Fan Yes, felt like a defeat, but would have taken that result at 3pm.

But really, even though our record there isn't good, I consider Reading a third division club playing above their natural level and expect a win every time we go there.

Just me I suppose.

Not a bad day out though.

NewCorkSeth
Jagermesiter1871 Can anyone explain why Meite was booked for being fouled and then having 2 players pushing him and pointing in his face? Still trying to figure it out.

He "headbutted" them. He softly tapped both of them with his forehead.

Surely either a red or nothing?

Re: BFTG - Forest

The idiot on Sky was moaning all evening about how poor a game it was - I found it very enjoyable.

For some people 0:0 = boring.

Re: Blackett to Turkey.

Sorry but this is appalling business. We're on a brilliant run with a settled team and with Blackett being part of a back 4 who have only conceded 2 goals in 6 games. Not to mention he's assisted something like 3 out of the last 4 goals we've scored. Wasn't a massive fan of him but to risk disrupti...

Re: BFTG - Blackpool

How does OMA manage to turn every thread on this forum into a shit show? It's getting to the point this forum is unusable as every thread just becomes side tracked with telling OMA to oxf*rd off and stop being a pathetic human being.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Not just Tilehurst Jagers....years of p1ss poor repairs and neglect.. The whole town is populated with pot holes and crumbling roads....my car is taking a hammering even at 25mph. Seems to be money available to facilitate bus lanes tho’ Sorry I don't venture out of Tilehurst so can't comment. :wink...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Is that why you don’t live here? Believe me, Reading (other than being a dormitory town full of opportunities for office workers) is a sh1t pit...currently no swimming pools, no production, gridlocked most evenings, expensive parking, hospital that can barely cope....unaffordable ‘affordable’ housi...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

I think you will find that because of the low-lying nature of the area ( the clue is in "valley") pulmonary problems are higher than in other areas unless of course you live in Tilehurst or Caversham Heights and don't go out much. We don’t get out much in Tilehurst.Too high and too...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Well done FDTW for once again educating some of these tossers on the merits of life away from the South-East. Having lived away from Reading for so much longer than the first 24 years of my life I see Reading as the ugly girlfriend-I love her but nobody else can see the attraction. A town that only...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Liverpool and Manchester have fantastic public transport networks and certainly being by the coast means Liverpool doesn't get as cold. Liverpool and Manchester are thriving economically. Having lived in both, I prefer Liverpool because the people are nicer but they're both fantastic cities. Well d...

Re: BFTG - Blackpool

If the phone caller was, say a plumber, you would have most likely said “there’s some guy (or bloke) on the radio says we should have picked the first team”. So was the problem really in what he said, or the fact he was a company director? Just asking. I think he was trying to compare running his c...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Just the usual about the out of town ground, we all support Chelsea arsenal really, all driving back to Chelsea/Knightsbridge, the ground is a library, enjoying football quietly. My personal favourite though was a group who said behind us: ‘it’s shit living up north, we live in houses twice your si...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

St Pauli For reasons too boring to go into, and because I was in the south stand, we didn’t get the Nags bus, opting for the station bus instead.

How the f/ck normal bus users put up with having to listen to bitter Northerners talk cliches on the bus back every other week
I don’t know.
