Re: Sheff Wed Predictions

Tough to predict.

We need a performance in response to the shite last weekend and Sheff Wed are always dangerous, even with players missing.

Having said that, I think with Forestieri out and Moore back in for us, we will edge a tight game 2-1.

Re: Ben Hamer

Maybe so..... just a shame that IMHO both occasions got the better of him - a confidence player who needs to be playing regularly. Al-Habsi has been an unexpected revelation but I cannot help thinking, how fantastically well suited Feds would be to our current style of play at the back. Absolutely,...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

For a team that is playing way above its normal level, I think it's a bit disrespectful of their fans to sing "you're nothing special, we lose every week" Can't imagine their players are too impressed with that I found that funny the first time I heard it; I always appreciate self-depreca...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Aston Villa (h) sponsored by a Terry Bell own goal

For the tactically inept group of supporters that do not understand the backwards passing, please take note... Our game plan is to keep the ball on the floor and prioritize possession. If we want to pass the ball out from the back into space, we require the opposition to press the defenders and the...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Aston Villa (h) sponsored by a Terry Bell own goal

I thought we played reasonably well, although we were crying out for some fresh legs in the second half and I'm baffled as to why Stam didn't make a change. First half, we controlled possession but never really looked dangerous up front. Kermorgant has his strengths, none of which cater to him being...

You could use the minutes' silence for your own personal reflections instead.

Whenever there is a silence for someone I didn't know much about, I always make sure I think of others I've lost during that time as well.

Your first pair of boots

What was your first ever pair of boots?

I remember having a pair of black Hi-Tec which were terrible in hindsight. Since then, I have cycled through Nike, adidas and Puma with little dips into the likes of Mizuno.

Re: A funny thing happened to me on the way to the game.....

Coming back from a game during one of our sun-soaked promotion chases (either 2006 or 2002, I forget) I was having a piss in a service station among many other Reading fans, and fans of other clubs. Suddenly the whole toilet erupts with 'URZ' as Sir John walks in to do his business. There were peopl...

Re: Chris Gunter song courtesy of Wales

Surely you could just do the 'do-do-do-do-do-' bit and then shout 'Chris Gunter!' instead of writing a lame song about it?

Or you could compare him unfavourably to a previous right back.

Klose would be incredible.

Don't fancy the others, but I think it's fair to say none of these will happen.

Re: EFL Trophy - Bristol Rovers (A) Match Thread sponsored by nobody really cares.

From what I saw in the highlights, Samuel was unlucky when he hit the post as he anticipated the mistake well and tried to put the ball into the corner with his weaker foot (I think). His chance off the line was unlucky too as he won the ball well and worked the space well to get the shot away. As f...

Re: Why are "we" booing players keeping the ball?

That is called repeating, not elaborating. I highlighted the bit you needed to focus on, and work out for your dumb ass self why I did so. Older generation always wanting to be spoon fed. :| The inference of Stam is that he would do something if fans booed directly at him-thus not great p.r.to impl...

Jaap's had his say http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/reading-fc-boss-jaap-stam-11802689 I wish the last bit was true. I just don't understand how some people would rather watch us lump it down the channels and chase knock-downs like a Sunday team. The problem with that is tha...
