Re: The strife of Brian

I'm not saying he's now a lifelong RFC fan, just that he's plays as if he cares about the club. Football is his job he plays well because he wants to play at first team level every week. He would however be gone if another club came in offering more money and a higher level and so would the other p...

Re: World Cup Play-Offs

As was said in one of the papers this morning a revolution of fair play must start somewhere and for me this is the place to start. Unfortunately FIFA are too obsessed about the Iraqi FA and other matters to care about a on-field issue like this. Maybe if people stopped avoiding the issue it would ...

Re: Back from the Game Thread - Blackpool (H)

Fed - 6 Doesn't inspire the greatest of confidence tbh Tabb - 8.5 Playing out of position but will always give a 7 or 8 performance every week. Pearce -7 Possibly could've done better when trying to clear for the goal but overall solid. Ingi -7 No pre-season but is getting better with each game. Ber...

Re: The strife of Brian

Marek (sorry) played at least two (zero pressure) balls needlessly and straight to a huddle of Tangerine shirts today. I give him an 8..he was a star but WTF was he doing? Howard gets pelters from the likes of you, Whilst Marek gets excuses........sorry, it doesn't rub anymore Don't put words in my...

Re: Does this forum affect team morale/selection etc.?

All this talk of Andy Hughes makes me wonder who was a worse crosser of the ball .... Kebe or Hughes? Not talking about any other skill just pure crossing ability. To quote Harry Hill: Kebe crossing is bad but then so was hughes'. But I just can't decide who is worse Kebe or Hughes. There's only on...

Re: The strife of Brian

Howard gave up the ball far too easily probably more so than Marek who isn't a tackler so Marek is the passer then. There can be no excuse for giving pocession away so often on the simplest of passes then?....not that Marek ever would.... lol Today they were both worthy of an 8 You have to try them...

Re: The strife of Brian

LOL @ blaming Howard for their goal. How about the shitty clearance from Pearce, or St. Marek's incompentency in the tackle? They were all culpable. Howard gave up the ball far too easily probably more so than Marek who isn't a tackler but should be disappointed that he lost it like that (his brill...

As this decade is about to end I think that it's appropriate that the thread is about the last ten years.

Re: World Cup Play-Offs

Henry should be punished not the French fans and I think they are ashamed of his antics as are their ex-players. To replay would be just as unfair to them as the initial incident was to the Irish. It's unfortunate but that's currently As was said in one of the papers this morning a revolution of fai...

Hahnemann
Murty Ingimarsson Upson Shorey
Little Harper Sidwell Convey
Doyle Forster
Manager:Coppell

Forster is my joint favourite player ever. So makes it ahead of Kitson.

I don't know but it might be the same Federer who says he doesn't like the Hawkeye system and is reluctant to use it.

Re: World Cup Play-Offs

If you are going to attempt to clean up football and try to stamp out cheating, you may as well start with something as blatent as Henry's handball. No one has denied that he did handle the ball - even he admits he did - therefore it sounds like a good case to begin with. You have to start somewher...

Re: World Cup Play-Offs

I suggest you take your own advice. The ball was going out for a goal kick and Henry handled it twice. The first handball may have been accidental but do you really believe the second wasn't ? I'm sorry for being an idealist but cheats should not prosper and just dismissing it as something that happe...

Re: World Cup Play-Offs

None of the governing bodies give a rats about fan opinion, they have proven it time and time again. They'll be sipping champagne counting the pounds that France will add to viewing figures in the World Cup. They are there for personal wealth and not the good of the game. To get the situation chang...

It's quite easy to clean up, no one in power has the balls to do it though.

Which is why you have to accept it as it won't change...

It can change they need to stamp down on it. No one ever got anything done by just accepting things. And calling for a cheat to be banned is hardly outrageous.

You are just a bitter fool. You are the one throwing your toys out of the pram, some of your claims on this thread have been outrageous. I'll give gus his dues, he's taken it like a man and can at least post reasoned debate about it. Henry committed an offence, as most footballers do. Everyone acce...

Re: World Cup Play-Offs

Well sorry but I won't accept it. Which is why apart from my hometown club and my country (England by the way, and they might go soon) I'm done with this pathetic excuse for a sport. England were not cheated by the referee as stated the two times goals were disallowed were fouls on the keeper. This...
