I predicted 4 pts from the first 3 games, and 6 from the first 5. Anything less is relegation form. I totally agree - we did have some bad luck against Villa - I think we might have got something if we'd had 11 men for a start. Agreed I'm pretty sure we'd have got at least a draw, but the penalty w...

Bikey and De La Cruz do provide us with good cover, and theyre not bad signings. We were down to 18 players midweek with Kitson, Brown and Little out injured, thankfully its now up to 20, and Little is almost fit isnt he?

Though if De La Cruz starts ahead of Murty I'd be disappointed

Royal Lady FWIW Schards rang at half time and wasn't impressed with our performance at all - I told him SSN had said we were dominating first 20 mins or so, but he says we weren't and Sodje is "like Sonko was at first".

Yea we've been ranting away in the chatroom

RoyalBlue More worrying was Kitson's view that he 'should' be back in time for the game against Spurs on November 12th!

He's got to have another two injections into his medial liagment this week so it doesn't sound as though an early return is very likely.

Blimey thats even worse than we all thought! :(

To be fair I respect your views Sharpy, tad harsh but understandable as we know what to expect from Heskey. His main strength is his aerial ability, and thats one thing I thought we'd cope with. Plus he was unmarked for the goal? inexcusable

I must admit before the Boro game I had doubts about Sidwell and Harper in the midfield, I think we miss Gunnarsson when he's not there. 1st half against Boro, and now today my fears are being confirmed. he came on for 7 mins, how did we miss him against Boro? He would have won the ball in the firs...

Wigan seem to be a very hardworking side, and it's going to be hard for most sides to look good against such a side. Sam does look a a little clumsy, but marking Heskey is a bit of a srep up from League 1 Given that this is Sodje's first Prem match and he's behind the other players for experience (...

retro royal Seoul looking a bit lightweight

Think he was the same 1st 20 mins against Boro, but I don't mind if he keeps creating the goals :)

Charlton are one of those clubs who could go down. My cousin was surprised but nothing has changed after their first 2 games.

Definately Sodje for Sonko. The point about Gunnarsson being used to protect a lead is a good one, and if he starts we have less options on the bench.

All that said 1-1 imo.

Did anyone notice last season Lawron didnt figure as much on MOTD as in previous seasons?

I thought it was interesting that Shearer was used on the first show last week, maybe theyre trying to phase Lawro out over time?

It was highly unlikely I would be able to go to Man U because of a lack of points. But the thing that bothers me is the club trying to force the fans you to buy tickets for 2 games at the same time as if tickets werent expensive as it is. Under this scheme those fans going to the Man U game will the...
