Re: The way things are/were done

You’re asking a question that can’t be answered, unless you turn up to a STAR forum one evening ...

Gourlay was (is) a cnut, as was Clement. Joey couldn’t stand him.

I think we’re all glad to have Nigel back as CEO.

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Was it a potential away kit scraped at the last minute after 5000 produced? No - opposite, home kit!! Owners didn’t appreciate what the backlash would of been. We were going red, doing a Cardiff, but behind the scenes word and sense prevailed then someone had bright spark idea to link them to Red N...

All red away kit then, which would be nice anyway.

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Hoping for either a full ref away or full yellow away. Prefer brighter colours as in recent years. Not so keen on dark.

Surprised there’s been no hints from the one or two who normally near something about the kit(s).

Re: Financial Fair Play

So we’re no under a self-imposed transfer embargo until players get moved on. If things really are that tight with FFP then we really need to get the likes of Gunter, McCleary, Kelly et all off the books ASAP, even if it means taking less for them in order to increase interest in them. That sad, I’...

Re: Rumour - Danny Loader

Really don’t think selling for a low fee plus add ons makes sense. Clubs know he has huge potential and we need to make sure we maximise our take. Good young English players are very valuable so as long as there’s is competition we will be strongly placed to get a good price. Low initial price and ...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

Good to hear. Hopefully his relationship with Jose helps bring him back for a season. He’s surplus at Liverpool so May prefer a perm deal.

Shame about Baker.

Re: Financial Fair Play

Gourlay really did do a job on us. Vastly inflated wage bill and a big drop in player sales.

Re: RUMOUR - Gomes wanted

Perhaps this explains why he never stays anywhere long. Full of personality. Lacking the stickability to see a job through to completion. Hopefully this time. Gomes views Reading as the place to establish his reputation. Tbf to Jose, most of his short stints were as a number two. He’s now a manager...

Re: STs for season 2019/2020

I've no idea why accounts couldn't have been passed over automatically. It's a basic IT task. Really shoddy from the club. Not sure about "simple", system migrations can be a minefield - just ask TSB. They can be, and what’s more they can cost a great deal. No doubt we’ve done this as che...
