Re: Rumour - Ovie Ejaria leaving

Was he ever “very good” on a consistent basis though? He might’ve had 2 excellent matches out of say 8, but it’s not like fans were saying he was really good every match. Admittedly I have seen less than others but I remember in his initial loan being impressed with him but he still slowed the game ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Manchester United (a)

Really looking forward to seeing the back of Rahman now. The guy just can’t give a toss whenever he’s on the pitch, and offers nothing. NGW at least provides intelligent forward play.

But we say this every season don’t we about players leaving. We’ll still have players who are no good

Re: MATCHWATCH : Manchester United (a)

Shane Long brought more to the team on his own than Carroll and Joao did. Poor selection up front for today. Think I’d have been tempted to go with the Long / Meite combination as Meite would have offered Rahman a bit. Ore protection down the left than Joao will ever be able to (and I’m not getting...

Re: Our defence.

Hendrick taking up Ince's position to push him out wide is one of the crazier ideas I've read on here. Pushing the player into a position where his own Dad has said he is best? Yeah really daft. Tom Ince has played a fair amount of his career as an inside forward in a 4-3-3 I believe. It would also...

Re: Rumour - Ovie Ejaria leaving

One of the most overrated players in recent seasons, slows the game down far too much to the point where I actually think he’s a really boring player to watch. 1-2 decent games a season is far to inconsistent.

Won’t be missed

Re: Our defence.

I think both Holmes and McIntyre are decent young players but they need to be playing alongside experienced and, just as importantly, very vocal team-mates. Personally I don't see any of our current experienced defenders doing enough talking and organising on the pitch. Regardless of what faults he...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Queens Park Rangers (h)

Why wasn’t Azeez on the bench yesterday? He looked good & direct at West Brom, and apparently played well last week.

He could be exactly the type of player the squad needs right now

Re: BFTG QPR

Lest not forget this is a patch and mend squad in a patch and mend season. Commonality all season has been one player who (over) performs one game is likely to be shit the next. The mis-placed euphoria on here elegising about a win and an Ince out when we get beat (or throw away a win) is so naive....

Re: BFTG West Brom

Well my prediction of a narrow defeat was correct. Thought we battled well after the first 20 min without ever really looking like we were going to score. I get Lumley time-wasting in a 2nd half when winning, but that was taking the piss a bit in the first half. Maybe he was trying to slow down the ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (a)

Snowflake Royal Any chance this might result in some time for Guiness-Walker? Because Rahman can neither defend nor cross, nor shoot.

One of the most overrated, couldn’t give a toss, players we’ve had in recent years. But some love him for a few Instagram posts

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (a)

Bearing in mind we have just 1 player (NGW) suited to playing wingback, is there not a case for changing to 4 at the back? 3-5-2 rarely works and we don’t have the players to play the formation effectively, yet since persists with it

Re: MATCHWATCH : Watford (a)

Fornah & Mbengue have been bright this half. The team looks more balanced. Can’t see us winning, but keep it tight after HT and we might Nick something

Re: PInce - Concerns Developing - Is He Confused?

Yes there are concerns, but 21st is a successful season for us as a club. You could argue other managers would get more out of this squad, but bear in mind it is still full of loans & freebies. Some of those loanees can certainly be questioned on their motivation, cough cough Rahman. I’d prefer ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h)

Echo all of the comments about wing backs. They need to have a lot of energy & be able to cross. Neither Yiadom or Rahman can cross for toffee. Hoilett is a better crosser, but isn’t defensively minded enough or have the energy at his age. And our centre backs aren’t strong enough to cover the g...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h)

Well that was a boring watch wasn’t it. Both teams boring to watch. Have to say Evans’ 2nd finish was decent but McIntyre should’ve closed the space. Why persist with this formation? Didn’t suit either or the lads playing wing back today, the only actual wing back we have NGW, didn’t start. From wha...

Re: BTFG - Bristol City

Poor attendance today. Our home form has improved so why are the fans staying away? Because it will take more than an improvement over the short term & no ein in 4 would have a decent number of floaters assuming that the plummet is on. Plus a lot of people are watching their spending and if you...

Should’ve cashed in in Joao in the summer.

We’re not playing to his strengths & he can’t be arsed

Ascotexgunner Loume looks utterly awful.

Who was the player we had at the start of the season?!

He was excellent until he fcuked up for the pen

Agree. Was a level above both Fornah & Hendrick until that last 10. Unfortunately he’s cost us the game with that stupid tackle though
