I called Stagecoach today as I'm taking someone from Crowthorne to the Wigan game. I was told (although the woman was vague) that they had no schedule for providing buses mid-week, and it was for Saturdays only.

On that basis I will plan to drive

I noticed that the pitch was a bit 'dead' in the middle. One time the ball game to Harper and just died in front of him. The pitch was more bobbly out wide than normal. However this is the middle of Winter after a very wet couple of months. Watch replays of matches from the 70's and 80's to see what...

The pitch looked awful from what you could see in the highlights from the youth game, certainly is struggling to support rugby and football this season. They will certainly need to work some magic to get it ready for Saturday especially if there is anymore heavy rainfall. It does look like it has l...

Fair play to Man City, that's a bargain ticket price at £23 But as far as Man City are concerned, this probably is a category Z game. Their only Cat C game for the rest of the season. Home fans pay less (a whole £1) when bought in advance. http://www.mcfc.co.uk/default.sps?pagegid={C85542AA-6E22-...

These have not appeared on the OS World website. I assume this is some contractual thing. Is there another site to go to so the kids the goals, especially Long's?

The whole ground was silent for what seemed like a second, no one realising quite what they had seen, before the place erupted. I was (one of the no doubt now 50,000! who claim to be) there and while I don't recall the details of the goal, that split second silence of disblief from the faithful bef...

All the more reason to get it out wide, keep it out of the 'bobble zone'... Oh yea, we didn't second half, never mind. Execpt rugby tends to wear out pitches in two furrows roughly between the 6 yard and 18 yard box 0 i.e. the 'channels' - so hugging the touchline is fine, but our usual one-twos fr...

Re: Blackburn Rovers (16th December) - Preview

Why do you not sell out the ground? Several agreed that this is the best response to that question – • Tell you what, halve the population of Reading, halve the income of the ones left, stick a Premiership club in Henley, another in Wokingham, move Man U and Man City to Maidenhead, Liverpool an...
