Re: What does Anton Zingarevich actually DO?

I just remembered Duberry and De la Cruz. A couple of old timers might be what we need. some experienced heads. They may not have played much but offered more advice and support than i'd imagine Simon Church De La Cruz was a free iirc, and Duberry was in January. Our signings in the first window: S...

Re: Federici 'back in contention' for Fulham game

If he gets his place back in the team after the way Alex Mc has played over recent games then an awful lot of people are going to be very unhappy - because that's not the way BMc has worked in the past. That's exactly how BMc works. If a senior player is injured, it doesn't matter how well his depu...

Re: RUMOUR - Bertrand, Clyne and Zaha

Presumably Man U, Man City and Arsenal ( All teams who do not know a good player when they see him), will now forget about Zaha and look at our players! It's always nice to know that other RFC fans know all about football! - NOT!!!!!!!! But none of those clubs would consider signing Zaha for their ...

Re: Pick Your Best 11

There's a lot of Pog choices on here (for obvious reasons) and a lot of Alfies, but not that many Hunts. I don't know the exact stats but he's probably our best goals/minutes on pitch player (if not he's got to be close), and it can't be a coincidence that Doyle, Long, Roberts & the Pog all pla...

Re: Pick Your Best 11

Most teams seem to be going with 4-5-1 at the minute, so why have 4 defenders picking up one striker...play 3 defenders and get the midfield passing and retaining possession... If you play 3 defenders then the problem gets worse. With a back four, you have two full backs dealing with the opposition...

Re: Tabb is not good enough for the Premier League

We are stuck with what we have until January. I can see why BM brought two forwards on as Swanasea needed to attack. Tabb was not good enough in the championship so why is he any better in the prem? Again lack of investment. Zaha got another two yesterday! Tabb was good enough in the Championship. ...

Re: The Gr8 Keeper Deb8

Surely it's obvious to everyone that sandman is continuing to point out the ridiculous Federici hate on here this time last year?

The idiotic thing is that he's still doing it long after most people have admitted they were wrong.

Re: Gunter v Cummings

I like both players. Gunter was possibly our best player against Spurs (not saying much), so I thought he was unlucky to be dropped. Did somebody really praise Cummings' willingness to get forward? Over the past two years people have criticised him for freezing whenever he crosses the halfway line (...

Re: Premier League or Manager? What is more important?

winchester_royal McAnuff over Routledge? Behave.

I've seen Routledge have a lot of bad games, there's a good reason he's failed at so many clubs. He played very well today though, better than McAnuff, but long term I think Dyer and Hernandez will be Swansea's wingers.

Re: Premier League or Manager? What is more important?

Not about spending 'gazillions', but it is about making sure that your squad is strong enough to compete every week. The 11 we sent out today was weaker in just about every position than their Swansea counterparts. I would rather have Mariappa/Gorkss than Chico, Shorey than Davies, McAnuff than Rou...

Re: Premier League or Manager? What is more important?

We shouldn't even be in the premier league really with this squad tbh, McDermott was a miracle worker last season. It's inevitable that the squad will have teething problems after 7 new players come in, and tbh we've spent next to nothing compared to nearly everyone else so a relegation scrap was a...

Re: Premier League or Manager? What is more important?

Nobody is bigger than the club. Which is exactly why McDermott should stay. Anyone else who comes in will either not be as good, or will have an ego and not understand the club, or both. The only people I can think of who would be suitable are our last three managers- two of them are at bigger club...

Re: MATCH THREAD - Swansea (A) Sponsored by the play off fin

I've grown accustomed to the doom and gloom talk Saturday night, and I don't mind it. But realistically, keep in mind there are 9 teams with less than two wins. We've won 2 PL games out of our last 22. On that form we will have less than two wins until 2013. Yes, because how we played in 2008 is so...

Re: MATCH THREAD - Swansea (A) Sponsored by the play off fin

Why are we giving them So much space?! Because if we press them, we risk being tired and unable to do anything. If we stand off a bit more and wait for Swansea to give it away or the chance to make an interception, then we will have the energy to counter attack. McDermott has used this strategy bef...
