Re: January window

Remember Danny Loader he seems to be finding the net for Porto B team with 7 goals in 15 appearances i believe. Not a bad return and maybe could get a sniff at the first team before to long. This could prove to be another one that got away lol.... Not so much one that got away, as one who consisten...

Academy keepers we've let go off the top of my head Mikkel Andersen Jamie Ashdown Jamie Young Ben Hamer Jamie Young Alex McCarthy George Legg Stuart Moore Only the ones in Bold have either outperformed or at least been on a par with Reading FC. Jamie Young is playing in the A-League and has spent t...

Re: Best player you've ever seen play against us

Not the best player, but best performance -- Brian Jenson the Burnley keeper at Turf Moor in the 2008 / 2009 season pulled off save after save with a little bit of help from the woodwork . They had a hoodoo over us that season. We were the better team across the 2 playoff legs but they scored 2 onc...

Re: January window

Definitely a good player - where does he play exactly though - not quite sure where he fits in. Sort of RWB isnt he? Attacking midfielder/winger. 7 goals in 29 appearances in the Bundesliga. Given that we’re pretty well stocked in that area I’m surprised Arsenal would consider sending him here. Qua...

Re: January window

Seems fairly likely that we are trying to get Reiss Nelson in from Arsenal. Seriously? Would be an excellent addition. Source? Definitely a good player - where does he play exactly though - not quite sure where he fits in. Sort of RWB isnt he? I think he's more of a winger, exactly what we need. I ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a)

Zip Two dropped points. Feeling very frustrated. Preston did nothing in the second half.
Teams that win promotion nick games like this especially when you win penalties late on.

Maybe this team is a year's development or so off being genuine contenders. The 11/12 team would have won that game.

Swift on penalties from now on. Miss one, it happens. Put the next one off target and that's it.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a)

Sort of game where a 0-0 would be a decent result for a play-off chasing side but not a side with serious ambitions of crashing the top 2. Would love to see us step up in 2nd half and take home 3 points.

Swift scores a free kick in prior game, has had 2 decent efforts already this match. Why oh why does Aluko take the best opportunity yet?

Re: Olise being sold for £8m?

Everything is relative, but he's pretty raw. I dont think he is quite yet in the category of big clubs falling over themselves. I dont think he will be good enough to play in the Champions League put it that way. he is good, but is he that good? I think Richards is a better player, and that Laurent...

Hendo
tidus_mi2 Sounds like the release clause was absolute BS.

Maybe they just downloaded the latest football manager and took that as "confirmation". It exists on there.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a)

I do think Pauno has been quite clever billing this as Revenge Month, the players are definitely talking about it so seems to have done the trick and certainly got a good result against Coventry, hopefully that can continue against Preston. I quite like it. I know success under Coppell and McDermot...

Re: January window

Maybe teams know there's no chance of signing Joao this window given our league position. Expect the vultures to circle in the summer if we don't go up.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Coventry City (h)

Can't help but feel bad for Baldock, his confidence must be shot and he's in one of those runs most strikers get where you just can't buy a goal. Nonsense yellow for Morro. Most of the reasons I can't stand Baldock are not his fault. It was our choice to pay a big transfer fee and offer him a big c...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Coventry City (h)

In some ways the difference between teams at the top and bottom is small. Between the boxes they've been as good as us, but we're far more clinical. And in recent years we've had plenty of experience being on the other end of that.

Re: Rival Watch

Blackburn v Swansea off tonight due to waterlogged pitch. Not what this league needs on top of Covid postponements. I think the teams who have fewer interruptions will have an advantage; nobody wants to go into March and April needing to catch up 3 or 4 games.
