Re: MATCHWATCH : Hull City (a) sponsored by Nigel Adkins

URZZZZ As I said Bowen and Grosicki are far too good for Yiadom and Richards, needed 5 at the back. Really poor call

Probably the best two wingers (Fulham?) in the league. Agree that it would have been a good call. Richards is incredibly weak.

Re: Meite tweet

The tweets about outgoing players now deemed by some fans as being out of favour were crass at best. Players would have spent the last couple of days seeing new signing coming in followed by a shedload of tweets by so called fans disregarding existing players as if they were used toilet paper. Most...

Re: First choice starting XI

http://i66.tinypic.com/neg4co.png This could set up in so many ways, but this I think will become our first XI. We're weak if Yiadom gets injured, and left back looks like it could be better. I feel most sorry for Novakovic and Barrett, who look like they will need to find new clubs  What does...

CONFIMRED - Pele

Source: https://twitter.com/GFFN Would Jose know him from Rio Ave? If he recently cost £6m then we're getting a bargain surely? Reading close to Pelé deal Nice-Matin report that Championship side Reading are closing in on a deal to sign 27-year-old Portuguese midfielder Pelé from AS Monaco. Finer de...

Re: Rumour - Rafael Cabral

Virginia is proving to be a very obvious mistake so this would be fabulous. So you're writing him off after one game in which none of the goals were his fault? Fantastic  He also let a weird goal in against Chelsea - the Kennedy one. In isolation the goals might not be worth discussing, but w...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

Seems Jose read my post, tried to get Smithies, couldn't, so went for better keeper!

Now, Jose, where did you get to with the proper DMC?

Re: Next Season's Squad.

windermereROYAL Eza would be a perfect fit in this team, if we cant bring the other back we should have gone for him again. cant understand why Gomes didn't want him, from the little we saw of him hes a bloody good player at this level.

Really don't understand this either

Re: CONFIMRED - Michael Morrison

SCIAG Morrison was signed without Gomes' knowledge and doesn't fit his style of play. Likely to remain fourth choice (or possibly fifth behind Blackett) rather than a starter.

Re: Next Season's Squad.

NewCorkSeth Why do you write his name as Rinho? The "H" comes after the "M". Surely Rino makes more sense as a shortened version?

Edited it - that was pretty thick of me

Re: Next Season's Squad.

We've now seen a match day squad, team and performance. With 5 days to make some transfers, where do we find ourselves? According to Jose, "Our focus right now is for a striker and maybe one midfielder more. We need to score so our focus is In those positions.” :!: In my opinion, and it's harsh...

Re: David Meyler - Reading's biggest ever mercenary?

Contract cancelled by mutual consent. I guess we'll never know whether this was a months wages or 11.9, but he's gone. At the time, the signing made a lot of sense. He doesn't seem to be a 'bad apple' but then again, who knows what happened; some of the best leaders are also the ones who take being ...

Re: SPECULATION - Danny Williams

NewCorkSeth Wages. Also I would prefer to sign a deeper midfielder not another box to box mid. Rinomhota has all the attributes to be a great b2b mid and we should be looking to develop that rather than limiting him to a deeper role.

Re: SPECULATION - Aaron Tshibola

We are crying out for a Tshibola type. To be back playing with his academy mates could be ideal for him. If, if, his wages are decent (surely you negotiate on he basis that Kilmarnock was his level, Barrett is his level) then I’d take him. If he is successful, then you can pre-negotiate his wages up...

Re: Rumour: Leo Bonatini

Not sure what’s wrong with everyone on Twitter, but this would be a poor signing. He’s no better than Baldock... who’s behind Novakovic and Meite in my opinion.

Yes please to a good striker... no thanks to Bonatini!

Re: The 4 needed to complete the team

If we only sign one more player, it absolutely MUST be a central midfielder. Swift is an asset to any championship side, but only if he’s played in an advanced position. Rinomota is also a class player, but needs someone to chip in with the legwork. If Rino gets injured we’re oxf*rd. Baker was great...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

Still need a holding midfielder, no10 and forward to have a competitive squad. With swift and potentially olise, no10 is least important. Barrett too. We need a defensive midfielder and a striker. I’d also like a box to box midfielder. Charlie Adam is not the answer to any of our midfield questions.
